On Bartering for Sergeant Bergdahl… and Ass Cancer

Let me get this straight. Tyrant Obama negotiated with terrorists to retrieve a deserter and possible traitor and he broke the law while doing it.

Obama doesn’t screw the pooch out of stupidity. There is method to his madness. It’s just another part of his hate-America “calculus.” What else could it be? He’s a goddamn terrorist living in our white house, and the most stupid among us put him there based on broken promises … twice! It appears the theory that Obama is a radical Muslim working for the Muslim Brotherhood is likely true.

Obama attempted to pull another bait-and-switch diversionary tactic with this prisoner exchange fiasco (crime) in order to draw our attention away from his latest sabotage and mismanagement of the VA medical system. Unfortunately, this time it backfired… not that anybody will ever do anything about it.

Obama is a bigger traitor than Bergdahl. He plots and plans to tear America down and destroy our traditional way of life. Meanwhile, the congressional dolts sit on their collective asses and never do anything about his illegal behavior, we just get smoke blown up our asses, by him, his administration, the liberal media, and congress.

How much smoke up our asses can we take until we all contract ass cancer? Some of us will eventually have to undergo ass-mastectomies.  It’s a good thing we’ll have ObamaCare when we all have to undergo Chemo Therapy. Yeah, ObamaCare will take care of us. Sure it will … unless there’s a clause hidden somewhere in that 7-ft stack of paper containing the Affordable Care Act which prohibits us from receiving care under the act. And, of course, if we’re ever able to actually sign up for it. Isn’t it ironic they call it an “act?” So far, that’s all it has been.

In Thomas Paine’s Common Sense, the pamphlet that came out in January 1776 and turned the public toward seeking independence from Britain, he speaks directly to the question posed above:

“Society in every state is a blessing, but government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one: for when we suffer, or are exposed to the same miseries by a government, which we might expect in a country without government, our calamity is heightened by reflecting that we furnish the means by which we suffer.”

Read Common Sense here. Substitute our own piece-of-shit known as “Barack Obama” for the “King” (not a far substitution in his mind) and substitute our feckless, no-balls-having punk-ass “Congress” for “Parliament”.

The presumption throughout the text of Common Sense is that tyranny should never again be tolerated. Despotism was for the old world. Tyranny was outdated. It belonged nowhere in a land conceived in liberty. The only question was when and how to overthrow despotic rule. The upshot of Paine’s book was that now was the time. Waiting would only lead to continuing and deepening calamity.

Paine’s idea was that society needed no overarching ruler to give it direction. It needed no official church to make it religious. No king was necessary to give society decorum or to manage relations with other nations. It needed no central plan to spell out a list of priorities. It was an attempt to wholly recast the way people thought about how the world works.

And people believed it would work. Why? Because they saw it all around them. The world of the Colonies was made by Americans, not by some far-off, distant, deeply ignorant ruler in ermine robes living in London… or now in Washington D.C.

It is a sad commentary indeed that the distance between the ideals found in Thomas Paine’s Common Sense and those of today’s America are so vastly differing as to be nearly unrecognizable. The world that Thomas Paine dreaded — the thing he feared the most and the tyranny that he had dedicated his life to opposing — is now upon us. Today, successors like Edward Snowden are not writing monographs for us to read, but languishing in sanctuary in Russia, of all places.  In the very nation that fought a revolution for the rights of the individual against the state and has fought a multitude of wars… two World Wars… against tyranny, aggression and oppression, the brilliant innovators and freedom fighters of our time are no longer welcome even inside our own borders.

Think of it… How much of what we love was actually built by the politicians, bureaucratic armies, and the central planners within the Beltway?  Are these not the disposable ones?  If you believe so, then once again the time is now!  Waiting will only lead to continuing and deepening calamity.

How enduring is the message of Thomas Paine? Listen to these words:

“O ye that love mankind! Ye that dare oppose not only the tyranny but the tyrant, stand forth! Every spot of the old world is overrun with oppression. Freedom hath been hunted round the globe. Asia and Africa have long expelled her. Europe regards her like a stranger and England hath given her warning to depart. O! receive the fugitive and prepare in time an asylum for mankind.”

Sound familiar?

This is an update to this post.  It has been confirmed that the initial web accounts regarding the school that Mr. Bill Stevens’ daughter was attending were incorrect.  Mr. Stevens has now been reported by several sources as having requested corrections to the reporting once he became aware of the error.  In short Mr. Stevens’ daughter was not a student at the Sandy Hook Elementary School when the tragic shooting occurred, but was instead a student at one of the neighboring schools in Newtown CT.

In the views of this contributor, this in no way-what-so-ever diminishes Mr. Stevens’ comments, and in light of his attempts to correct the erroneous reports only adds credibility, integrity and honor to his name.  My original comments and assessment of Mr. Bill Stevens still Stands!

Though I may disagree with the political views of the reader who brought this error to our attention by means of their comment… I offer my appreciation and a hardy “Thank You!” for the information that allowed this correction to my post.  Additionally the link above may be found in that reader’s posted comment.

Here is a true American… short, sweet and to the point! Please take special note of his contextual use of the word “tyrant”.

Conservative blogger Rob Port noted in a February 4th post:

“In the politics of tragedy, victims and the relatives/friends of victims are often given absolute moral authority on the subject at hand. As long as they’re saying things that fit the political agenda of one side or the other in the debate. The anti-gun folks have been quick to champion anyone related to Sandy Hook saying anything against gun rights. I’m guessing Mr. Stevens won’t be given that authority, however, because his opinions don’t fit the narrative.”

The right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed

In all the noise and clamor today over guns and gun control, let us pause for a moment and refresh our failing memories with exactly what the Second Amendment to the Unites States Constitution actually says and secures:

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” September 21, 1789, Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Read those words written by our forefathers and let them sink in. The right to own guns to protect your personal freedoms – keep and bear arms – was never, not even for a moment, written to protect your right to go deer and bear hunting.

It was written to guarantee all Americans for as long as the Union would survive, the right to own firearms to protect their liberties from their government and elected officials. To protect themselves from tyrants and dictators in the event they should arise. The use of guns for sports and recreation was not even a though in their heads at the time they wrote this.
