I had no intention of watching the SOTU address last night.

For years they have been a laundry list of lies, half-truths, promises never intended to be kept, long on unmemorable clichés and short on substance.

The spectacle of one side of the room erupting in euphoric standing ovations at the end of every sentence while the other side sits in stony silence no matter what is said never fails to strike me as pathetic.

Like I said, I never watch the State of the Union but my wife wanted to hear what the president has to say about her new American heroes, the “dreamer children”.

I think she picked up a brain virus from the yentas on Facebook.

I’m glad I listened to her as the experience was most enlightening.

At the very least it was refreshing not to hear what a horrible country the USA is and how wicked its inhabitants are unless they are indigent, recently arrived and have a dark complexion.

On a slightly deeper level it was a masterful performance of flourishing rhetoric, maintaining an engaging delivery and never bogging down in any one particular subject matter.

But the true genius of it, and its iconic stature lies in how it has ripped the veil from those who call themselves Democrats.

The visual spectacle of their reactions to the spoken word clearly demonstrated to the world what the Democrats stand for and what they are against.

To wit:

In no particular order they are for;

Penury
Crime
Drug addiction
Illegal immigration
Hatred
Polarization
Disease
Unemployment

Likewise, they are against;

Mom
Apple pie
America
God
Decency
Family
Unity

Today someone referred to themselves as a Rockefeller Republican.

I said that’s nice, he’s dead for forty-two years. I’m a Trump Republican.

Tea-party guru, and FreedomWorks President and CEO Matt Kibbe, reveals how to kick big government to the curb with simple plan for regaining control of our government and our lives. Brought to you by those wonderfully informative people at WND.com with a “Must See” video hosted by Greg Corombos reporting for Radio America.

MI

Original WMD post with Video Here.

Americans are ready to kick a big, intrusive government to the curb, but they’re waiting for a credible alternative to the two-party approach that got us into this mess, according to FreedomWorks President and CEO Matt Kibbe.

Kibbe is author of the new book, “Don’t Hurt People and Don’t Take Their Stuff: A Libertarian Manifesto.” He admits that reversing the tide of big government will be a massive task even if the right people get into office. He is also wading into the divisive conservative debates over America’s role in the world and whether elected conservative leaders ought to be championing traditional family values.

In his book, Kibbe says the fundamental formula of limited government should boil down to six principles:

1) Don’t hurt people: Free people just want to be left alone, not hassled or harmed by someone else with an agenda or designs over their life and property.
2) Don’t take people’s stuff: America’s founders fought to ensure property rights and our individual right to the fruits of our labors.
3) Take responsibility: Liberty takes responsibility. Don’t sit around waiting for someone else to solve your problems.
4) Work for it: For every action there is an equal reaction. Work hard and you’ll be rewarded.
5) Mind your own business: Free people live and let live.
6) Fight the power: Thanks to the Internet and the decentralization of knowledge, there are more opportunities than ever to take a stand against corrupt authority.

Kibbe also prescribes a 12-step solution to restoring liberty to the people, with ideas ranging from the government not spending more than it takes in and scrapping the income tax to personal choice in education and health care and placing much greater limits on the government’s ability to invade citizens’ privacy.

Ann Coulter uncorked: ‘Are you people awake?’
Lightning rod unleashes on what’s wrong with right

ann_coulter_uncorked

WASHINGTON — The left loves to hate political dynamo Ann Coulter, and many on the right have found themselves upset with her, too.

The criticism from conservatives began in 2010 when Coulter addressed an event titled “HOMOCON” sponsored by the homosexual Republican group GOProud that promotes same-sex marriage and military service for open homosexuals. A year later, she joined the advisory board of GOProud.

Then came her call for Gov. Chris Christie, R-N.J., to run for president in 2012.

And anger from the right flared yet again over her support of Republican presidential nominee, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

Some conservatives found both of those Republicans too liberal. Coulter retracted her support for Christie but has steadfastly defended Romney.

anncoulterhomocon

A year ago, Coulter said, “My flirtation with Christie was like running off with a biker. He was new and exciting — and made conservatives feel alive. But I came back to the responsible choice. Romney is the absolute best man to run against a dirty street fighter like Obama.” (more…)

Now I watch and weep has this great country has been brought to her knees. Beaten down by her own. Where out there is there a MAN or woman to equal this great man. Stand up once more America take back the greatness that once the world envied. The flag of the United states of America flies on my home. Does it fly on yours?”

death.of.america.obammyDisinformation is intentionally false or inaccurate information that is spread deliberately. For this reason, it is synonymous with and sometimes called black propaganda. It is an act of deception and false statements to convince someone of untruth. Disinformation should not be confused with misinformation, information that is unintentionally false.

Unlike traditional propaganda techniques designed to engage emotional support, disinformation is designed to manipulate the audience at the rational level by either discrediting conflicting information or supporting false conclusions. A common disinformation tactic is to mix some truth and observation with false conclusions and lies, or to reveal part of the truth while presenting it as the whole (a limited hangout). [I refer to this as Trojan Horsing.]

Another technique of concealing facts, or censorship, is also used if the group can affect such control. When channels of information cannot be completely closed, they can be rendered useless by filling them with disinformation, effectively lowering their signal-to-noise ratio and discrediting the opposition by association with many easily disproved false claims.

In espionage or military intelligence, disinformation is the deliberate spreading of false information to mislead an enemy as to one’s position or course of action. In politics, disinformation is the deliberate attempt to deflect voter support of an opponent, disseminating false statements of innuendo based on the candidates vulnerabilities as revealed by opposition research. In both cases, it also includes the distortion of true information in such a way as to render it useless.

Disinformation may include distribution of forged documents, manuscripts, and photographs, or spreading malicious rumors and fabricated intelligence. Its techniques may also be found in commerce and government, used to try to undermine the position of a competitor. (Wiki)

“The opening line of the Constitution contains a serious typographical error: ‘We the People’ should read ‘We the States.’ As President Ronald Reagan reminded us in his first inaugural address, the states created the federal government and not the other way around.”

And the states created a monster we must now beat down!

Napolitano: Guns and the Government

Commentary by By Andrew P. (Judge) Napolitano

napolitanoIf you have listened to President Obama and Vice President Biden talk about guns in the past month, you have heard them express a decided commitment to use the powers of the federal government to maintain safety in the United States. You also have heard congressional voices from politicians in both parties condemning violence and promising to do something about it. This sounds very caring and inside the wheelhouse of what we hire and pay the federal government to do.

But it is clearly unconstitutional. (more…)

An excerpt from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to AIPAC last night (05 Mar 2012):

“If it [Iran] looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then what is it? It is a duck — but this duck is a nuclear duck,”

What a perfect metaphor for the current threat Israel faces with Iran.

His speech last night on the Iranian nuclear threat reminded me of President Ronald Reagan’s uplifting speeches.

We need a president with wisdom and chutzpah like his.

Netanyahu leaves Obama looking like the weak, forked-tongue, liberal progressive, secret Jew-hating Muslim that he truly is.

Netanyahu is the man.

GO ISRAEL!

Ann CoulterAmong the most preposterous claims being made on MSNBC about the fight over public sector unions in Wisconsin is that Gov. Scott Walker and the Republicans are losing “Reagan Democrats” by taking on government employees.

The theory seems to have been concocted by Howard Fineman, editor at The Huffington Post, who said, back in February on Lawrence O’Donnell’s “The Last Word,” that the “whole idea of a Reagan Democrat” was that union families were voting for Reagan. But today, according to Fineman, they are shifting against Republicans because of Walker’s tough line on government unions. “That’s got to scare Republican strategists nationally,” he said.

Private sector unions are as similar to public sector unions as they are to gay civil unions. (more…)

The Smokescreen: Who Cherry Picked Obama?

If I were a poor boy from Hawaii who made it to Harvard, I’d credit those who helped me get in and who paid my way. He does neither.

We don’t know who cherry picked this kid and turned him into what he is today. One thing is clear, Obama doesn’t want us to know who made him possible
no credit, no attribution, all to what end.

Where’s he going with this? Who benefits? How’s it work?

NPR and friends say we’re crazy for asking.

I know where Ronald Reagan grew up. We know all about Richard Nixon’s childhood. We know about Abe Lincoln and George Washington. We know who paid for the Bush presidents when they went to college and how they got in. We know about all the other presidents. And we know what they and the ones who tried to become president tried to hide.

W disappeared during his National Guard years and he worked hard to cover that up. John Kerry fudged shit about his purple hearts. Gary Hart and Bill Clinton liked getting their dicks stroked. Who doesn’t?

If you want to know where I was born, I know. I have the documents my mother gave me. Including my bris documents.

Do Muslims get something when their foreskin is cut off? Do they have a ceremony? Did anyone go to Obama’s?

I have movies from my bris. You can see the room and the cousins. I have the signature of the rabbi who did the operation. I can tell you everything about all my first years of life. Where we lived when I was born, what room I lived in, about my carriage and playpen, who my pals were, who I knew first, who I played with, about my dog, games, toys, songs, friends, enemies, about the first frogs and fish and snakes and turtles and birds and berries and buds I observed and caught and learned about.

I can bring out a bunch of friends who will corroborate everything, like Kids I went to nursery school with. It’s nothing I would try to hide. Why would I?

And if birthers were giving me a hard time about all this, I would trot my friends out and let the press hammer them so I could put this whole thing behind me.

Obama hasn’t done that. He’s done none of it. Isn’t that peculiar?

Where there’s smoke there’s fire. And here, there’s a huge smokescreen. How come? There’s only one answer I can think of.
