As a Harvard senior in 1940, John Kennedy’s thesis was published as a book entitled Why England Slept.
It was an homage to Winston Churchill’s 1938 book, While England Slept.
Both dealt with the pre-war German rearmament and Nazi expansionism.
Ironically Kennedy and Churchill are additionally linked through author/historian William Manchester.
Manchester wrote the 1967 book Death of a President chronicling Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, and The Last Lion, a Churchill biography in trilogy.
It’s the second volume dealing with 1932-1940 that I just started reading.
Priding themselves on a national character of decency, the English working class couldn’t find a more admirable hero to worship than Josef Stalin.
The ruling elite however couldn’t do enough to advance Hitler’s agenda.
Unperturbed by his vitriolic and physically threatening Antisemitism, they enabled him to violate terms of the Versailles Treaty, called for the disarmament of England while throwing France under the bus, and believed giving in to his demands would be the only way to ensure peace.
It was considered unpatriotic in 1933 England to criticize Hitler.
Substitute Muslim for Nazi, or any Islamist warlord for Hitler and here we go again.
Given their past history it’s no wonder that England is the cesspool of Antisemitic, ant-west, anti-liberty hate mongers it is these days.
Let’s take all the right-minded truly decent people out of the British Isles, give them Vermont and Quebec and sink whatever is left into the fucking ocean.
