The crazier President Trump acts, the more his enemies paint themselves into a corner.

“Obama tapped my phone” has the libtards screaming foul.

They deny that it ever happened and Trump is delusional.

There is no evidence of his phone being tapped and there would have had to been evidence of wrongdoing for the wiretap.

If there is insufficient evidence for the tap does that mean there is no evidence that he colluded with the Russians?

Why does no evidence of wiretaps automatically dismiss that charge but no evidence of colluding with the Ruskies demands an investigation?

Why did the NY Times months ago report that wiretaps confirm Trump/ Russia connections?

Or was that just fake news?

The changing linguistic landscape has given new meaning to some very familiar terms, thanks in no small part to the media and academia.

For example:

  • Mentally disturbed individual = Muslim terrorist
  • Lone wolf = Muslim terrorist who was aided by friends, family and community.
  • Islamophobia = The heightened mental state of being aware of Muslim terrorists.
  • Anti-Zionist = Classic Jew hating Nazi bigot.

Dark Invasion: 1915: Germany’s Secret War and the Hunt for the First Terrorist Cell in America —by Howard Blum

This book was not only informative and entertaining, but, in my opinion, is also a must read for all Americans.

DarkInvasionBkCvrThe fact that the actual occurrences were kept from being a media circus and fomenting a jingoistic war frenzy is understandable, given the administration’s obsession with maintaining neutrality, but that they have never been part and parcel of elementary American history education is inexcusable and negligent.

German nationals and ethnic German Americans, financed and supported logistically and materially by the German government through their embassies and consulates in America undertook a campaign of terror that included arson aboard ships at sea, bombing the Capitol building and an attempted assassination of John Pierpont Morgan in his Long Island home.

Anti-German sentiment not withstanding, the spy ring was only effectively countered by scrupulous detective work and the contribution of loyal German-American policemen capable of infiltrating the enemy.

Ethnic Germans were just about the largest minority in the country, yet action was taken without fear of special interests or anyone being labeled a Germanophobe.

Flash forward ninety-nine years and once again we are confronted with foreign nationals and disloyal Americans with support of hostile regimes, bent on sowing terror in our midst.

Let this book be a wake-up call and a reminder that Americans can lay claim to the same statement uttered by Jews on Passover, that, In every generation there are those that will rise up against us.

And the Grey Whore (NYT) chimes in with this drivel:

Walter Cronkite, Voice of TV News, Dies

Walter Cronkite, who pioneered and then mastered the role of television news anchorman with such plain-spoken grace that he was called the most trusted man in America, died Friday at his home in New York. He was 92.

The cause was complications of dementia, said Chip Cronkite, his son.

From 1962 to 1981, Mr. Cronkite was a nightly presence in American homes and always a reassuring one, guiding viewers through national triumphs and tragedies alike, from moonwalks to war, in an era when network news was central to many people’s lives. }} more… (Warning! Ann CoulterWhether it is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Weather Underground, Central Park rapists, Mumia Abu-Jamal, Jim Jones and the People’s Temple, welfare recipients, Palestinian terrorists, murderers, abortionists, strippers or common criminals — liberals always take the side of the enemies of civilization against civilization.

In the view of The New York Times, every criminal trial is a shocking miscarriage of justice — except the ones that actually are shocking miscarriages of justice. (more…)

Ann CoulterFor the first time in 32 years, Democrats got more than 50 percent of the country to vote for their candidate in a national election, and now they want to lecture the Republican Party on how to win elections. Liberal Republicans have joined them, both groups hoping no one will notice that we just lost this election by running the candidate they chose for us. (more…)

Following up on Word-Drum‘s post, Headline Kills Thousands, here’s another shocker from AP via the The New York Times:

American Tourist Is Killed in Beijing, Chinese Officials Say

BEIJING (AP) — Beijing authorities say a Chinese man attacked two American tourists on the opening day of the Olympic Games, killing one of them before committing suicide.

The Beijing Municipal Government says the attack happened in downtown Beijing at noon on Saturday. Officials issued a statement saying the 47-year-old attacker, Tang Yongming, also injured an American woman and her Chinese tourist guide.

The attack took place on the second level of the Drum Tower, a popular tourist attraction in north Beijing. Tang threw himself from the ancient monument used to tell time centuries ago.

I wonder which important details AP may have left out of this story.

For instance, was the killer Muslim?

Whitewashing a Terrorist

The controversial release of terrorist Samir Kuntar as part of a recent prisoner exchange between Israel and Hizballah has been accompanied by attempts to whitewash his actions. Kuntar, who is being greeted as a hero in Lebanon, was convicted of several grisly murders — including the bludgeoning of a 4-year-old. Yet this has not stopped some of the media from trying to sanitize his image.

Take, for example, an article by Craig Smith published in the July 16 edition of the New York Times and its sister publication, the International Herald Tribune. A complete whitewash of terrorism, it gives equal credence to the killer’s courtroom denials as it does to the court’s verdict of guilt based on eyewitness testimony and forensic evidence.

New York Times Writers Don’t Learn Their History

Sure, by now everyone whose ever going to be interested in the subject knows only too well that the New York Times is biased and weak when it comes to certain aspects of its reportage. But that’s the American way. Go around the country and check out all the crummy papers too and you’ll see they’re just as bad, if not worse, when it comes to being biased.

So instead of beating a dead horse, here I aim to show the problem isn’t so much that the New York Times’ writers are biased, it’s that they don’t know and don’t care about the history of any topic whatsoever. That’s just how it goes there. Apparently their editors aren’t nearly as bright as one might think.

How to prove my point? I will pick a story that covered over 1.5 pages in the New York Times on Wednesday May 28, 2008. The story wasn’t particularly political. It was a local story, and a national story at the same time. It was about history, and it was about nature and conservation, and it was about food and dining out.

This particular story spent a tremendous amount of time explaining that oyster culture is making a bit of a comeback in New York’s waters, but the story hardly touched on why the oysters declined in the first place.

Here, I am not going to provide a history of New York’s oyster catch, nor am I going to explain what caused all the ups and downs. Instead, I’m going to tell you a story New York City’s Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia told about the days when he was a lawyer and he had the opportunity to try some cases dealing with the illegal catch of scallops and oysters in the area. This story is from when he worked in the Attorney General’s office: (more…)
