After reading the bio on Susan Collins below, it becomes abundantly clear that Collins is neither a moderate Republican nor a bipartisan and centrist member of the Republican Party, rather, she’s a Libertarian Liberal.

Collins, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, John McCain et al must be great friends; RINOs one and all.

“On August 8, 2016, Collins announced that she would not be voting for Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for the 2016 election. She said that as a lifelong Republican she did not make the decision lightly but felt that he is unsuitable for office, “based on his disregard for the precept of treating others with respect, an idea that should transcend politics.”

Sen. Susan Collins – The Libertarian Liberal

From Wikipedia

Susan Margaret Collins (born December 7, 1952) is an American politician serving as the senior United States Senator from Maine, a seat she was first elected to in 1996. A Republican, Collins chairs the Senate Special Committee on Aging since 2015 and previously chaired the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs from 2003 to 2007. She also is known for her long consecutive voting streak, which reached 6,000 votes in September 2015. She is the most Senior Republican woman in the Senate. She is the dean of Maine’s congressional delegation. Collins is consistently described as both the Senate’s most moderate Republican and its most bipartisan senator. However, a closer look at her voting pattern reveals that she often waits until it is clear that it will not affect the outcome before casting a vote that differs from that of most of her Republican colleagues. In this way she positions herself as a pivotal vote and as a focal point.

Born in Caribou, Maine, Collins is a graduate of St. Lawrence University. Beginning her career as a staff assistant for Senator William Cohen in 1975, Collins later became the staff director of the Oversight of Government Management Subcommittee of the Committee on Governmental Affairs (which later became the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs) in 1981.

She was then appointed as the Commissioner of the Maine Department of Professional and Financial Regulation by Governor John R. McKernan, Jr. in 1987. In 1992 she was appointed by President George H. W. Bush as the director of the Small Business Administration’s regional office in Boston. Staying in Massachusetts, Collins became that state’s Deputy State Treasurer in 1993.

After moving back to Maine in 1994, Collins became the Republican nominee for Governor in the 1994 general election. Becoming the first woman to become the nominee of a major party for Governor of Maine, Collins finished third in a four-way race with 23% of the vote. After her bid for Governor in 1994, Collins became the founding director of the Center for Family Business at Husson University. Collins was first elected to the Senate in 1996. She has been reelected three times, in 2002, 2008, and 2014.

One of six children, Collins was born in Caribou, Maine, where her family operates a lumber business established by her great-great-great grandfather, Samuel W. Collins, in 1844.

Her parents, Patricia M. Collins (née McGuigan) and Donald F. Collins (1925-2018), each served as mayor of Caribou. Her father, a decorated World War II vet, also served in both houses of the Maine Legislature, one term in the house and four in the senate. Her mother was born in Barrancabermeja, Colombia, to American parents. Collins has English and Irish ancestry. Her uncle, Samuel W. Collins, Jr., sat on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court from 1988 to 1994 and served in the Maine Senate from 1973 to 1984.

Collins attended Caribou High School, where she was president of the student council.

During her senior year of high school in 1971, Collins was chosen to participate in the U.S. Senate Youth Program, through which she visited Washington, D.C., for the first time and engaged in a two-hour conversation with U.S. Senator Margaret Chase Smith (R-ME). Collins is the first program delegate elected to the Senate and currently holds the seat once held by Smith.

After graduating from Caribou High School, she continued her education at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.[9] Like her father before her, she was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa national academic honor society and Collins graduated from St. Lawrence magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in government in 1975. The Day of the Hawk is at Hand

The bombing of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie was premeditated mass murder. Gadhafi was taking revenge for Reagan’s raid on Tripoli in 1986.

The downing of KAL 007, flying from Anchorage to Seoul, was mass murder in the second degree. Seeing an aircraft intrude into Russian air space, Soviet officers brutally ordered it shot down.

The downing of the Malaysian airliner that took the lives of 298 men, women and children was not deliberate terrorism. No one wanted to massacre those women and children.

It was a horrendous military blunder, like the U.S. shoot-down of the Iranian Airbus by the Vincennes in 1988.

That U.S. cruiser thought it was coming under attack. And Ukraine’s separatists thought they were firing at an army plane.

The distinctions are as important as those between first- and second-degree murder, and manslaughter.

The respective reactions confirm this. Gadhafi concealed his role in the Scotland slaughter. Moscow was defiant in the KAL case. America was apologetic over the Iranian airliner.Today, Vladimir Putin, with an indictment being drawn up against him, is blaming Ukraine for the war out of which the tragedy came.

But though Putin did not order the plane shot down, the horror of it all has put him in a box. And the course he pursues could determine the future of U.S.-Russian relations for his tenure.

For the rebels in Ukraine are seen as Putin’s proxies. They have been armed and advised by Russia. And it was a Russian SA-11 that brought the airliner down.

While the separatists say they got the surface-to-air missiles from an army depot, there is evidence the missile was provided by Russia, and Russians may have advised or assisted in the fatal launch.

This crisis has caused President Obama to insist that Putin cut off the rebels. And if he does not rein them in, and abandon their cause, Putin is likely to face new U.S.-EU sanctions that could cripple his economy and push his country further out into the cold.

And the ostracism of Putin and the sinking of Russia’s economy is what some in the West have long had in mind.

The Day of the Hawk is at hand.

Another sobering and thought-provoking article from our friends at Laissez Faire Today.

Can Snowden Occupy a Vacant Cabin in a Snowstorm?

When it comes to the NSA leaks and Edward Snowden, government has circled the wagons. Whether Democrat or Republican, the folks doing the people’s business have one view and the people see it differently. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was booed and interrupted by liberal attendees at the Netroots Nation conference on Saturday.

Netroots Nation is a convention for progressive political leaders. Pelosi, a darling of those on the left, was the keynote speaker at the event. But her pro-surveillance, anti-Snowden remarks incited the crowd.  “We’re listening to our progressive leaders who are supposed to be on our side of the team saying it’s OK for us to get targeted” for online surveillance, said Jana Thrift of Eugene, Ore. “It’s crazy. I don’t know who Nancy Pelosi really is.”

We know who Nancy Pelosi is. She’s an authoritarian. She isn’t for freedom, or the people, she represents authority. She’s all for the government spying on us and taking lots of our money to do so. Like most in Washington she believes she knows what’s best for us. Americans should be on a “need to know” basis to keep us safe in Pelosi’s world.

Those on the right are just as bad. (more…)

Muslim Brotherhood claim: We’ve got ‘goods on Obama’
Son of jailed leader says evidence could put U.S. president in prison

By Jerome R. Corsi | WND | 13 September 2013

U.S. Republican Senators John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.

NEW YORK – The son of a jailed Muslim Brotherhood leader in Egypt is claiming his father has evidence that will land President Obama in prison.

The claim came as the Obama administration, with the assistance of Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and the open involvement of the No. 2 man at the U.S. State Department, made a concerted effort to see Muslim Brotherhood leaders in Egypt released.

In an interview with the News Agency Anatolia in Turkey, Saad Al-Shater, the son of imprisoned Muslim Brotherhood leader Khairat Al-Shater, said his father “had in his hand” evidence that will put Obama in prison. (more…)

My Predictions for the New Obama “Presidency”

by Kit Lang | Blog Radio

Obama the Muslim Jihadist! Now that America has shown us all that affirmative action even works in politics, I’ve compiled a list of things you can probably expect to happen. These predictions are 80% gleaned from information all of us have access to, 15% gut instinct based on many years of research, historical study, and being glued to current affairs. The other 5% is just anger at my countrymen’s stupidity–I admit it.

Web sites & mass emails offering “free grants,” courtesy of the government and “Obama’s wealth redistribution.” Actually, this one’s a freebie, because I have an email with a date & timestamp of literally minutes after Obama was declared the winner, offering exactly that.

Israel will understand this election was the end of any type of assistance, military or otherwise, from the U.S., and will stop holding back their defense at the request of the American administration. Look for a first strike on Iran soon, as well as increased activity by the Israeli military in general. Israel is on her own now, and God help us all because of it.

Look for Iranian retaliation against American targets. (more…)

Ann CoulterLiberals never tire of discussing their own generosity, particularly when demanding that the government take your money by force to fund shiftless government employees overseeing counterproductive government programs.

They seem to have replaced “God” with “Government” in scriptural phrases such as “love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37)

This week, we’ll take a peek at the charitable giving of these champions of the poor. (more…)

TMQ2 received the link to this wonderfully done video posted at You(Boob)Tube May 28, 2008. I’m not sure how I missed it, but thanks to reader JB for sending us the link, here it is. It’s great!

“Joe, American” confronts the Presidential candidates and wants discussion about the major issues of the American people. “Joe” proposes a plan and requests that the candidates “get back to him” with their thoughts and ideas. A MUST SEE for all, independents AND party affiliated.

And remember to vote NO-BAMA in Nov. 2008!

A Silence on Terror

HERE’S a wake-up call for a nation at war: We’ve had all but one of the presidential debates, plus the veep debate – without once hearing the words “Islamic terrorism.”

Seven years after 9/11, we still seem to be debating whether it’s polite to name our enemy directly. Worse, the emerging consensus seems to be “no.”

That is not a good sign. How is the next leader of the free world going to solve a problem he can’t even name?

Yes, the economy is by far the most urgent issue – but that doesn’t make the war any less serious. (more…)

ALARMS & DENIAL

By BRET BAIER, Fox News

September 26, 2008 —

EDITOR’S NOTE: The following segment ran yesterday on Fox News’ “Special Report.”
BRIT HUME: Many financial analysts are saying that if mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had been effectively regulated years ago, the supercharged subprime mortgage meltdown that led to the current financial mess would either never have happened or would have been nowhere near as severe.

Chief White House correspondent Bret Baier rejoins us now to examine the timeline. What were those warning signs? Who raised them?

And who disputed them? (more…)

Lawdy Massa McCain, is you gonna make me a slave?

Lawdy Massa McCain, is you gonna make me a slave?

Watching The View causes loss of brain cells. Imagine what being one of the hooey-filled hostesses can do to the thought processes. Who are these fat bitches and why do people listen to them?

Will President McCain bring back slavery? Will we be under God or what the pigs want, a pagan playland where the media tells us what to think and we pray to them?  Either way, just thinking about the old bitches’ questions makes me feel stupid.  So the question has been answered, you can put lipstick on a pig and it’s not still a pig — it’s a feminist.
