In followup to the federal government’s latest attempt at  intimidation of American citizens in Nevada and elsewhere, here is the latest revelation from those wonderful folks at WND:

Desert showdown blows lid off long-standing plans with the Chinese

When Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy refused to take his cattle off land the federal government demanded for the habitat of an endangered desert tortoise, it focused the nation’s attention on an arena Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., may have preferred to be kept quiet.

An investigative report published last week by Infowars.com drew a connection between Senate Majority Leader Reid’s involvement with Chinese energy giant ENN, Chinese efforts to build massive solar facilities in the Nevada desert and the showdown between Bundy and the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, or BLM.

It wasn’t the first report to notice curious dealings involving the Chinese and America’s top Democrats.

On Jan. 20, 2013, WND warned Chinese government-backed economists were proposing a plan to allow Chinese corporations to set up “development zones” in the United States as part of a plan proposed by the Chinese government to convert into equity the more than $1 trillion in U.S. Treasury debt owned by the Chinese government.

The next day, Jan. 21, 2013, WND documented the Obama administration had begun to allow China to acquire major ownership interests in oil and natural gas resources across the USA.

Let it not be said that I particularly dislike Mr. Michael Savage. Or for that matter, let it not be said that I particularly dislike any of the plethora of other supposedly conservative pundits such as Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, Dennis Miller or Ann Coulter just to name a few. Additionally, not only is it not a factual statement to say that I especially dislike any of the aforementioned individuals personally. Neither is it a factual statement to say that I dislike our preeminent, supposedly conservative news source, Fox News, as a whole.

Even though I have recently issued a well deserved “Fuck You!” to all of them collectively by means of the well-known single-fingered salute that was proffered in a previous article, it was certainly not my intention to signify any personal dislike towards them individually or collectively.

“Then what is it, Marshal?” might be a good question. (more…)

Dan Rather Fights Back

Remember when George W. Bush ran for president that time way back when and the little matter of how he got out of serving in Vietnam by serving in the National Guard that he never served in became an issue? Remember when Dan Rather ran with the story and then got his ass whipped? Sure you do, but just barely. (more…)

Our Loyal Friends from OZ

Australians are wonderful friends to the American people.

We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have such loyal and trusted folks as one of our greatest allies. See my post: A Salute to Australians – Our Very Loyal Friends – Esp. PM John Howard.

From IBD:

The Last Action Hero

Australian Prime Minister John Howard is the last man standing in the terror war’s “coalition of the willing.” His unflinching allegiance goes deeper than politics and should make Americans grateful.

“America could ask for no better friend and more steadfast ally than Prime Minister John Howard,” President Bush told the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation at its annual meeting in Sydney this week. }} more…

Imus on the Comeback…

So much for Reverend Al and the other race baiters. You can’t keep a good man down, as they say. I don’t even like Imus, but if I have to listen to either him or the ignorant, hateful , racist race baiters, I choose Imus.

Imus Settles With CBS, May Make Comeback

Don Imus has reached a settlement with CBS over his multimillion-dollar contract and is negotiating with WABC radio to resume his broadcasting career there, according to CBS and a person familiar with the negotiations. }} more…

The Race Police or Imus: Which Is Worse?

Caving In to the Real Racists

by Yale Kramer

Three or four powerful energic forces collided last week to create a perfect cultural storm that ended in toppling one of the giants of radio entertainment from his current venue. The forces at work were a) the culture of offensive humor and its audience of millions of lovers of pie-in-the-face comedy led by Don Imus; b) the paranoid hypersensitivity of black, moth-eaten, demagogues Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and their grievance collecting, loser minions; c) tens of millions of dollars in advertising fees whirling around in the ether and in danger of encamping to safer venues; d) and billions of watts of hypocrisy radiating from CBS, which is no newcomer to Imus’s brand of humor, and the multitude of media people — whited sepulchers all. }} more…

Schoolyard Thug: Everyone Knows an Imus

With massive flooding and mass killings to titillate our nipsters, we all moved on from the Imus story. All the more reason to reach back and squeeze another jack from and old fruit that’s ripened and long-gone to seed.

Zev Chafets, a writer you probably haven’t heard of, and author of “A Match Made in Heaven,” a book you probably haven’t heard of, was one of the thousands of amazingly sincere and articulate intellectuals to weigh in last week during the Imus feeding frenzy.

Now that Zev’s article has wrapped its last fish or been recycled in some other equally well-meaning way, I want to share Zev’s rendition of the story while it was still alive and flapping around. Unlike most week-old perspectives, this one gets better with time.

Last Thursday, April 12, 2007, my good friend Zev wrote in the New York Post (pg. 35): (more…)

Jason Whitlock on Imus

Jason Whitlock of the Kansas City Star is amazing!

He has the most lucid analysis of the Imus-Rutgers scandal that I’ve heard so far. This gentleman really gets it. I applaud him for his intelligence, his perspective, his courage, and his ability to use these qualities to translate the Imus fiasco into a critical analysis that nails it for the rest of us.

Thank you, Mr. Whitlock:

Instead of wasting time on irrelevant shock jock, black leaders need to be fighting a growing gangster culture.

Thank you, Don Imus. You’ve given us (black people) an excuse to avoid our real problem. (more…)
