With some down time in the office I started skimming through the Time Magazine that shows up unasked for.

Leave it to our old friend Karl Vick who still hasn’t accepted our invitation to

SHUT THE FUCK UP

to equate Pamela Geller with ISIS.

Furthermore he labels Geller ‘ a provocateur who foments anti-Muslim sentiment” and her “perceived ‘Islamization’.”

Guess what Karl, she’s anti- Islamist not anti-Muslim.

If you don’t know the difference try and get your brain back from the cabbage dealer.

Islamazation is more real than “Islamaphobia”.

He also claims that Garland was chosen because it was the site where “moderate Muslims gathered to decry people like Geller”.

Wrong again Karl it was a gathering of Islamists protesting the right to free speech.

Karl  also takes Geller to task for being “skilled at attracting attention to her causes.”

Guess what Karl, the only reason her causes attract the attention they do is because of the methods used by her sub-human opponents, especially the two sons of dogs who tried to shoot their way in to exhibit.

Karl Vick, suck my dick.

This article is a re-posting from Laissez Faire Today, a daily e-letter club site dedicated to social/political awareness in the broadest sense. The root of this site is one concerning financial matters, but they expound on a variety of other concerns as well with informative thought brought to their reading public through a continual series of timely articles, book reviews and discount book offerings. With an incredibly vast array of perspective LF defies categorization other than that which might be considered somewhat anarchistic … but in a respectable and responsible manner.

I offer here one of their latest posts, one that describes a woeful tale of totalitarian government surveillance and civil disobedience brought together with an historical perspective on the manner of the world in which we now live. Prepare to witness how our civil liberties in general and specifically our 4th Amendment rights have been under ongoing assault and rapid diminishment through manipulation and lies since no later than the latter half of the 20th Century. See how Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell may well go down in history as one of the greatest philosophical treatises on liberty in Socratic dialog the world has ever witnessed.

For your reading pleasure, I present:

Thank You, RUSSIA?

Dear Laissez Faire Today Reader,

Baltimore, MD What happens when you spend a day at home searching the Internet for home appliances and maybe some back-to-school supplies? For most people, you get a lazy afternoon. But one couple in Long Island, N.Y., got a visit from their local police department. They had some questions about their peculiar Internet searches.

Better sit down before you read this. And move away any valuables you might throw at a wall in a fit of rage. (more…)

THE FOLLOWING IS MY SYNDICATED COLUMN THAT WAS PUBLISHED July 4, 2006. OBVIOUSLY NOT ALL OF THE PEOPLE NAMED THEN ARE LIVING AND/OR IN OFFICE TODAY BUT THE NAMES OF THE ELECTED POLITICIANS ARE INTERCHANGEABLE WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR NOT HAVING OUR BEST INTEREST IN MIND AND THEIR LEVEL OF CORRUPTION. AS I SAID, CHANGE THE NAMES I REFERENCED THEN WITH THOSE IN OFFICE TODAY AND THIS PIECE IS EVEN MORE PRESCIENT THAN WHEN FIRST PENNED SEVEN YEARS AGO.

John Kerry’s idea of freedom may be marrying uber-wealthy heiresses. Ted Kennedy’s idea of same has been to live off his gangster father’s bootlegging money. Howard Dean, D-Vt., Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., view freedom as bullying and intimidating any Democrat congressman who gets out of line (especially if he is black) and bashing the president at every opportunity. "Thank you, Mr. President, for this honor and this opportunity. I'm not sure I have the words to describe how excited I am to return to the Department of Justice, and especially to get to work again with the people of the FBI. They are men and women who have devoted their lives to serving and protecting others, and I simply can't wait to be their colleague again."

“Thank you, Mr. President, for this honor and this opportunity. I’m not sure I have the words to describe how excited I am to return to the Department of Justice, and especially to get to work again with the people of the FBI. They are men and women who have devoted their lives to serving and protecting others, and I simply can’t wait to be their colleague again.”

President Obama recently nominated James Comey as director of the FBI. He said, praising him, “To know Jim Comey is also to know his fierce independence and his deep integrity.  Like Bob, he’s that rarity in Washington sometimes—he doesn’t care about politics, he only cares about getting the job done.  At key moments, when it’s mattered most, he joined Bob in standing up for what he believed was right.  He was prepared to give up a job he loved rather than be part of something he felt was fundamentally wrong.  As Jim has said, ‘We know that the rule of law sets this nation apart and is its foundation.'”

Well that’s awfully damned magnanimous and self-sacrificing of good ol’ Jimmy boy… except he didn’t leave!  He stayed with the Justice Department for another year, even though he was certainly and undoubtedly aware of their continued efforts in the monitoring of the personal records of millions of Americans without the legal authority to do so. And, I might add, in direct contradiction to the Constitutional rights of those being targeted. Apparently the straight-out-of-their-ass legal theories proposed by the NSA’s attorneys was enough to keep our man “Jimmy boy” at his post.  Oh!  But that’s all right. As Jim has said, “We know that the rule of law sets this nation apart and is its foundation.”

Ya think? (more…)

This is an update to this post.  It has been confirmed that the initial web accounts regarding the school that Mr. Bill Stevens’ daughter was attending were incorrect.  Mr. Stevens has now been reported by several sources as having requested corrections to the reporting once he became aware of the error.  In short Mr. Stevens’ daughter was not a student at the Sandy Hook Elementary School when the tragic shooting occurred, but was instead a student at one of the neighboring schools in Newtown CT.

In the views of this contributor, this in no way-what-so-ever diminishes Mr. Stevens’ comments, and in light of his attempts to correct the erroneous reports only adds credibility, integrity and honor to his name.  My original comments and assessment of Mr. Bill Stevens still Stands!

Though I may disagree with the political views of the reader who brought this error to our attention by means of their comment… I offer my appreciation and a hardy “Thank You!” for the information that allowed this correction to my post.  Additionally the link above may be found in that reader’s posted comment.

Here is a true American… short, sweet and to the point! Please take special note of his contextual use of the word “tyrant”.

Conservative blogger Rob Port noted in a February 4th post:

“In the politics of tragedy, victims and the relatives/friends of victims are often given absolute moral authority on the subject at hand. As long as they’re saying things that fit the political agenda of one side or the other in the debate. The anti-gun folks have been quick to champion anyone related to Sandy Hook saying anything against gun rights. I’m guessing Mr. Stevens won’t be given that authority, however, because his opinions don’t fit the narrative.”
