Dems warn backers: Obama could go to prison!

A mass email from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Sunday tried to drum up support by warning President Obama is in danger of impeachment, or even worse, jail time.

The email – with subject line “Impeachment? Prison??? – Sign now, stand with President Obama” – claims Obama “took bold, courageous action this week to fix our nation’s broken immigration system,” but now is “under attack.”

“Republicans think this is their chance to destroy the president,” the email reads. “They’re threatening lawsuits, shutdowns, impeachment? One Republican congressman even suggested President Obama be thrown in jail!”

The DCCC then implores Democrats to show they’re “still standing with President Obama” and “have his back” by signing an online petition.

Former Alaskan GOP Senate Candidate Joe Miller noticed the email and posted it on his blog, “Restoring Liberty”:

“Apparently, members of the president’s party are facing some pretty serious heat over King Obama’s unconstitutional power grab this week,” Miller quipped. “Appeals to the president’s support base seem to be growing in their hysteria.”

Miller continued: “Given the fact that most Americans do not support Obama’s power grab, and even members of his own party disapprove, impeachment should be on the table.

“Regrettably, it’s not,” Miller commented. “Fresh out of overwhelming mid-term victories, the GOP is once again moving tepidly. Even on the issue that arguably provided their margin of success – Obamacare – leadership has stated that a vote on repeal will not even be held.

“So the DCCC’s hysteria over impeachment and jail time is just a fundraising gimmick,” Miller concluded. “They know, as do all Washington insiders, that the ruling class will ensure continuation of the status quo. And absent another Jacksonian or Reagan revolution, we’ll continue our slide into the dustbin of history.”

The mention of jail time, however, wasn’t merely invented.

As WND reported, Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., did suggest before Obama’s speech about his executive action on immigration that the president may be about to commit a felony worthy of five years jail time.

He told Slate that with his forthcoming executive actions on immigration, President Obama risked breaking a federal statute “making it a felony to aid, abet or entice a foreigner to illegally enter the U.S.”

Said Brooks: “At some point, you have to evaluate whether the president’s conduct aids or abets, encourages or entices foreigners to unlawfully cross into the United States of America. That has a five-year in-jail penalty associated with it.”

In Thomas Paine’s Common Sense, the pamphlet that came out in January 1776 and turned the public toward seeking independence from Britain, he speaks directly to the question posed above:

“Society in every state is a blessing, but government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one: for when we suffer, or are exposed to the same miseries by a government, which we might expect in a country without government, our calamity is heightened by reflecting that we furnish the means by which we suffer.”

Read Common Sense here. Substitute our own piece-of-shit known as “Barack Obama” for the “King” (not a far substitution in his mind) and substitute our feckless, no-balls-having punk-ass “Congress” for “Parliament”.

The presumption throughout the text of Common Sense is that tyranny should never again be tolerated. Despotism was for the old world. Tyranny was outdated. It belonged nowhere in a land conceived in liberty. The only question was when and how to overthrow despotic rule. The upshot of Paine’s book was that now was the time. Waiting would only lead to continuing and deepening calamity.

Paine’s idea was that society needed no overarching ruler to give it direction. It needed no official church to make it religious. No king was necessary to give society decorum or to manage relations with other nations. It needed no central plan to spell out a list of priorities. It was an attempt to wholly recast the way people thought about how the world works.

And people believed it would work. Why? Because they saw it all around them. The world of the Colonies was made by Americans, not by some far-off, distant, deeply ignorant ruler in ermine robes living in London… or now in Washington D.C.

It is a sad commentary indeed that the distance between the ideals found in Thomas Paine’s Common Sense and those of today’s America are so vastly differing as to be nearly unrecognizable. The world that Thomas Paine dreaded — the thing he feared the most and the tyranny that he had dedicated his life to opposing — is now upon us. Today, successors like Edward Snowden are not writing monographs for us to read, but languishing in sanctuary in Russia, of all places.  In the very nation that fought a revolution for the rights of the individual against the state and has fought a multitude of wars… two World Wars… against tyranny, aggression and oppression, the brilliant innovators and freedom fighters of our time are no longer welcome even inside our own borders.

Think of it… How much of what we love was actually built by the politicians, bureaucratic armies, and the central planners within the Beltway?  Are these not the disposable ones?  If you believe so, then once again the time is now!  Waiting will only lead to continuing and deepening calamity.

How enduring is the message of Thomas Paine? Listen to these words:

“O ye that love mankind! Ye that dare oppose not only the tyranny but the tyrant, stand forth! Every spot of the old world is overrun with oppression. Freedom hath been hunted round the globe. Asia and Africa have long expelled her. Europe regards her like a stranger and England hath given her warning to depart. O! receive the fugitive and prepare in time an asylum for mankind.”

Look What The Media “Purposely” Ignored

You want to know just how biased and disreputable the media are? Consider this past week.

This is America

This is America!

Approximately 1.2 million, if not more, motorcyclists rode into Washington, D.C. to show respect and remembrance for those who were murdered by Muslim terrorists on September 11, 2001. We’re talking a line of bikers 55 miles long and 4 bikes across. The deafening silence of the media pursuant to reporting on this epic show of determinism and patriotism is morally opprobrious even by the media’s own low standards.

The over 1 million motorcyclists were, in effect, the antimycin to the fungus of arrogance by Muslims who had planned to hold a march on Washington to protest how unfairly they are being treated in America. And to do so, they chose the day that their own kind had murdered innocent Americans in 2001 and had murdered again in 2012.

Washington and the media did their best to discourage and minimize the stoicism of the bikers. They were denied permits and police escorts, and the media have refused to acknowledge their magnanimous display of American patriotism. (more…)

This is an update to this post.  It has been confirmed that the initial web accounts regarding the school that Mr. Bill Stevens’ daughter was attending were incorrect.  Mr. Stevens has now been reported by several sources as having requested corrections to the reporting once he became aware of the error.  In short Mr. Stevens’ daughter was not a student at the Sandy Hook Elementary School when the tragic shooting occurred, but was instead a student at one of the neighboring schools in Newtown CT.

In the views of this contributor, this in no way-what-so-ever diminishes Mr. Stevens’ comments, and in light of his attempts to correct the erroneous reports only adds credibility, integrity and honor to his name.  My original comments and assessment of Mr. Bill Stevens still Stands!

“In the politics of tragedy, victims and the relatives/friends of victims are often given absolute moral authority on the subject at hand. As long as they’re saying things that fit the political agenda of one side or the other in the debate. The anti-gun folks have been quick to champion anyone related to Sandy Hook saying anything against gun rights. I’m guessing Mr. Stevens won’t be given that authority, however, because his opinions don’t fit the narrative.”
