Being in the market for a new car has required input from my wife who has specific likes and dislikes about the color of any car she is willing to drive.
What I have noticed after perusing online catalogs and verified from observations around town and interstate toll plazas is depressing.
When it comes to car color 90% of the vehicles that I see on the road are either black, some shade of white or some shade of silver/gray.
It reminds me of the Henry Ford quote, “They can get any color they want as long as it’s black”, and even more ominous it reminds me of what I saw in Moscow in the 80s.
Henry Ford’s wet dream come true, every car on the road was black, either Ladas or Chaikas.
One more aspect of Americans having their choices limited, and another step closer to European style lemmingdom.
