Israel has been wiped off the map by Garnet Education, an English-language teaching company in Britain, whose educational textbook ‘Skills in English Writing Level 1′, aimed at foreign students and immigrants to the UK, contains a map with “Occupied Palestine” in place of the Jewish State.

While condemning terrorism is always the decent thing to do, lying to people about Islam isn’t. You’ll notice that “Not in Our Name” website is islamispeace.org.uk. Islam doesn’t mean peace, it means submission.

Why do these ad campaigns inevitably lead me to the conclusion that those responsible think bigotry and prejudice are more problematic than suicide bombs, murder, and terrorism?

I’d feel a lot better if the campaign was designed to convince Muslims that Islam is peaceful, rather than convincing non-Muslims of it.

Pakistan Clerics Offer $11.5M Bounty for Sir Rushdie’s Head

Iran accused Britain on Sunday of insulting Islamic values by knighting Salman Rushdie, whose novel “The Satanic Verses” prompted the late Iranian Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini to issue a fatwa death warrant against him.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said Rushdie, awarded the knighthood for services to literature in Queen Elizabeth’s birthday honors list published on Saturday, was “one of the most hated figures” in the Islamic world.

Jerusalem Is Israel’s Historic Soul and, as Such, its Capital

I don’t know if you can tell, but I’m not the BBC.

Prove it, you say.

Okay. How about this: Israel’s historic soul and as such, its capital is undeniably Jerusalem. And you can quote me on that. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

See, I really am not the BBC, although I know many of you still don’t believe me.

How about this follow-up? Unlike me, after saying such a thing, the BBC apologized this week for calling Jerusalem Israel’s “historic soul” and as such, its “capital.” In it’s apology, the BBC promised not to repeat its egregious “mistake.”

Why did the BBC apologize? It was following complaints by Arab Media Watch, Muslim Public Affairs Committee, Friends of Al-Aksa and the Institute of Islamic Political Thought.

What douche-baggies! All of them. BBC included.

British Teachers Boycott Israel

Britain’s University and College Union, representing more than 120,000 college-level educators has voted to go forward with a proposal to boycott Israeli academic institutions, according to the Jewish Daily Forward.

The Union voted May 30 to pass a motion beseeching its branches to circulate and discuss a Palestinian call for boycott of Israeli academics and universities.

Meanwhile in Britain, a coalition of Jewish groups has united to condemn the teachers union’s vote.

“The UCU boycott motion is an assault on academic freedom,” said Jeremy Newmark, the chief executive of Britain’s Jewish leadership council. “While the vast majority of academics do not support a boycott, the decision damages the credibility of British academia as a whole.”

Another recent move to exert political pressure on the Jewish state came in April, when Britain’s 40,000-member National Union of Journalists adopted a resolution calling for a boycott of Israeli goods. src

A) Loudmouth Abu Izzadeen and three other Bakri Mohammed followers didn’t make bail.
