Posts Tagged ‘Ronald Reagan’

“The opening line of the Constitution contains a serious typographical error: ‘We the People’ should read ‘We the States.’ As President Ronald Reagan reminded us in his first inaugural address, the states created the federal government and not the other way around.”

And the states created a monster we must now beat down!

Napolitano: Guns and the Government

Commentary by By Andrew P. (Judge) Napolitano

napolitanoIf you have listened to President Obama and Vice President Biden talk about guns in the past month, you have heard them express a decided commitment to use the powers of the federal government to maintain safety in the United States. You also have heard congressional voices from politicians in both parties condemning violence and promising to do something about it. This sounds very caring and inside the wheelhouse of what we hire and pay the federal government to do.

But it is clearly unconstitutional. (more…)

An excerpt from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to AIPAC last night (05 Mar 2012):

“If it [Iran] looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then what is it? It is a duck — but this duck is a nuclear duck,”

What a perfect metaphor for the current threat Israel faces with Iran.

His speech last night on the Iranian nuclear threat reminded me of President Ronald Reagan’s uplifting speeches.

We need a president with wisdom and chutzpah like his.

Netanyahu leaves Obama looking like the weak, forked-tongue, liberal progressive, secret Jew-hating Muslim that he truly is.

Netanyahu is the man.

GO ISRAEL!

Ann CoulterAmong the most preposterous claims being made on MSNBC about the fight over public sector unions in Wisconsin is that Gov. Scott Walker and the Republicans are losing “Reagan Democrats” by taking on government employees.

The theory seems to have been concocted by Howard Fineman, editor at The Huffington Post, who said, back in February on Lawrence O’Donnell’s “The Last Word,” that the “whole idea of a Reagan Democrat” was that union families were voting for Reagan. But today, according to Fineman, they are shifting against Republicans because of Walker’s tough line on government unions. “That’s got to scare Republican strategists nationally,” he said.

Private sector unions are as similar to public sector unions as they are to gay civil unions. (more…)

The Smokescreen: Who Cherry Picked Obama?

If I were a poor boy from Hawaii who made it to Harvard, I’d credit those who helped me get in and who paid my way. He does neither.

We don’t know who cherry picked this kid and turned him into what he is today. One thing is clear, Obama doesn’t want us to know who made him possible
no credit, no attribution, all to what end.

Where’s he going with this? Who benefits? How’s it work?

NPR and friends say we’re crazy for asking.

I know where Ronald Reagan grew up. We know all about Richard Nixon’s childhood. We know about Abe Lincoln and George Washington. We know who paid for the Bush presidents when they went to college and how they got in. We know about all the other presidents. And we know what they and the ones who tried to become president tried to hide.

W disappeared during his National Guard years and he worked hard to cover that up. John Kerry fudged shit about his purple hearts. Gary Hart and Bill Clinton liked getting their dicks stroked. Who doesn’t?

If you want to know where I was born, I know. I have the documents my mother gave me. Including my bris documents.

Do Muslims get something when their foreskin is cut off? Do they have a ceremony? Did anyone go to Obama’s?

I have movies from my bris. You can see the room and the cousins. I have the signature of the rabbi who did the operation. I can tell you everything about all my first years of life. Where we lived when I was born, what room I lived in, about my carriage and playpen, who my pals were, who I knew first, who I played with, about my dog, games, toys, songs, friends, enemies, about the first frogs and fish and snakes and turtles and birds and berries and buds I observed and caught and learned about.

I can bring out a bunch of friends who will corroborate everything, like Kids I went to nursery school with. It’s nothing I would try to hide. Why would I?

And if birthers were giving me a hard time about all this, I would trot my friends out and let the press hammer them so I could put this whole thing behind me.

Obama hasn’t done that. He’s done none of it. Isn’t that peculiar?

Where there’s smoke there’s fire. And here, there’s a huge smokescreen. How come? There’s only one answer I can think of.

Salaam Aleikhum

Congratulations to the people of Egypt whose demonstrations have led to the resignation of president Mubarak.

We always say, be careful for the things you wish for, you may get them.

We Americans commend you for your lack of violence thus far, as well as the army for their show of restraint.

We wish Mubarak well and commend him for his decision to put the will of the people ahead of his own interests. He has been an ally to America and a stanchion of moderation.

For thirty years he has maintained peace by honoring Egypt’s treaty with Israel and has obviated the ability of other Arab states to wage war against Israel by removing Egypt from that equation.

Now that Egyptians can feel the hot breath of freedom and democracy in their faces I urge them to keep the following in mind.

Don’t blow it. No pun intended, but every time the iron fist of some Arab dictator unclenches, there is a preponderance and plethora of blowing shit up and chopping off heads.

Don’t be stupid, and don’t make me come over there.

Democracy is not a free for all.

There are those who will use freedom to undermine it for everyone and take control. The Nazis and the Commies took over from the democracies in place after the Kaiser and his cousin the Czar were booted.

Remember that democracy won’t work without proper systems with checks and balances in place.

Establish your representative government with limits of power in the tradition of the Magna Carta, the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights.

Thank the ancient Greeks and the America Revolution for giving birth to these ideals.

Thank Franklin Roosevelt for defeating the Nazis and making the world safe for democracy.

Thank Ronald Reagan for liberating the enslaved of Eastern Europe and showing the world what people can accomplish once freed.

And don’t forget to thank George W. Bush for liberating Iraq at the cost of American blood and setting the example for you to make your voices heard.

It wasn’t the Mullahs of Iran, or the Sheiks of Arabia, or the Soviet Commissars who made it possible for you to bring light into your darkness.

It was everything the United States of America has stood for over the last 235 years.

So don’t forget that, because the minute you do, everything you have will turn to shit and you will deserve it.

May God Bless a peaceful, secular, democratic Egypt and God bless America.

Quotes by Our Illustrious President With Two Names

Everyone of voting age should read these two books:

Don’t waste your money purchasing them. Just check them out at your local library.

From Dreams of My Father:

“I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13 when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.” “I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race.”

“There was something about her that made me wary, a little too sure of herself, maybe and white.” (more…)

Jimmy Carter and Giving Into Terrorist Blackmail

Muslims and Arabs have been using money and terror to coerce the West for many decades, but it wasn’t until September 11, 2001 that the first American President, George W. Bush, finally said enough and confronted the terrorists and their allies head-on with full support of the American people. Unfortunately, it wasn’t long before American support for the War on Terror waned and once again the Democrats were in a position to buckle under to the Muslims and Arabs for reasons that have never been clear.

What has become clear in recent years is Jimmy Carter was the worst president in the history of the United States. And for decades the West left Israel flapping in the wind fighting Muslim terror by itself, even though the Muslims weren’t just gunning for the Jews.

Instead of viewing these issues through our eyes now, let’s consider how the Israeli leaders viewed such topics twenty years ago and see if Israel was wrong or just ahead of its time. (more…)

November 4, 1979 — January 20, 1981

Anyone know what happened then? I’ll give you a hint. In all, it totals 444 days. Without what happened then, we would never have had Nightline or the theme song to Jon Stewart’s Daily Show.

I’ll tell you what happened then. 53 Americans, protected under international law granting diplomats immunity from arrest, were taken hostage in Iran and a grand spectacle unfolded. Jimmy Carter, Mr. Human Rights, mishandled it every step of the way.

I was hoping someone might remind me exactly what Reagan did while running against Carter, that led to the hostages being released into United States custody on January 20, 1981, minutes after the new president, Ronald Reagan, was sworn in. (more…)
