Bend Over, Holy Land Foundation, Here Comes the Big American Weenie!

The Council on American-Islamic Relations’ best friend, the Holy Land Foundation, may be going down for the count in the not so distant future. At least one can always hope.

It’s been nearly six years coming and the reckoning is now at hand. Today, the HLF, the nation’s largest Islamic charity, goes on trial for alleged ties to terrorism. And CAIR, by the way, was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in this case.

Along with HLF itself, there were seven Muslims indicted, two of which fled the country and are fugitives from justice. Hopefully some great American tracker like Dog the Bounty Hunter is in hot pursuit.

I’m looking forward to the blogger buzz so much that I decided to post these words to kick off our coverage of the trial here at TMQ2. This trial is expected to last at least five months, so check here periodically for updates.

When writing about this case, or Islamic terrorism in general as it relates to this case, I’m not going to beat around the bush as though I’ve been infected with the bullshit liberal “political correctness” virus. Nope. Screw that. I’m no pussy and never have been.

I’m going to write about these topics in the same fashion many of us think about them, speak about them, and secretly want to write about them. I’m going to lay it out like a gutted fish for all the world to see, so hold onto your hats.

The latest batch of attacks by Islamic terrorists raised fresh concerns among Muslims over what they fear may be “heinous attempts” to link terror with Islam.

British Muslims, who number 1.6 million, are reportedly funding advertising campaigns across Britain that proclaim Islam is “the religion of peace” — in the process also implicitly warning fellow Britons against criticizing their faith.

Yet a year ago, a weighty Muslim writer and pundit, Abdelrahman Al Rashed, manager of the pan-Arab TV network Al-Arabiya Television, famously launched a stormy debate when he opined, “While all Muslims are not terrorists, all terrorists are now Muslims.”

Ever since, the question among Muslim scholars and activists is precisely how much of the terror inspired by Islam is due to the faith itself — and how much is due to the way it is being preached.

LAST week, two very different Brits had their say about the latest terrorist plots in their country. Prime Minister Gordon Brown told the nation that “we have got to separate those great moderate members of our community from a few extremists who wish to practice violence and inflict maximum loss of life in the interests of a perversion of their religion.” By contrast, a former jihadist from Manchester wrote that the “real engine of our violence” is “Islamic theology.”

Months ago, this young man informed me that as a militant he raised most of his war chest not from obscenely rich Saudis, but from middle-class Muslim dentists living in the United Kingdom. There’s sobering lesson here for the new prime minister.

From Dr. Kildare to Drs. Dare-Kill (Updated)

Dr. Kildare was a fictional character. I remember him best from the 1960s television series of the same name. He was the kind of character that could inspire viewers to want to become doctors, or wish they were doctors, just like the Rocky films inspired young men to become boxers. I had already been boxing from age 7 and loved that series as a younger man.

And then we have a platoon of Muslim doctors who plotted and attempted to kill many innocent people in Glasgow and London. They’re the kind of characters that could inspire folks to purchase sawed-off shotguns (or Nike Trainers) for self protection .

After reflecting on the Glasgow weenie roast and the failed London attack, planned by Muslim doctors, I was reminded of the medical profession’s Hippocratic Oath. Killing innocent people would logically be a serious violation of the HO. Using homemade bombs, the doctors did dare to do just that. They went from “First Do No Harm,” to “First Arm the Bomb.” Thank God they were unsuccessful. These wanna-be terrorists turned out to be nothing more than Hypocritical Oafs.

Note: Actually, the passage “First, do no harm” is not in the HO, but since most people believe this myth, I used it here for a pejorative punch.

Now their lives are over and they owe it all to the madman called Mohammad, their false prophet. They were overcome with a common disease called “jihad,” which is basically just another way of saying they’re devout Muslims. Because, it seems, all it takes for a Muslim to join the jihad is for them to read the Qur’an — and follow its directions.

So why not discontinue using all the other labels like jihadists, terrorists, Islamofascists, Islamists, Islamo-Nazis, Mujahideen, militant Muslims, etc. and simply call them devout Muslims?

And one more thing. My advice to all of the Hypocritical Oafs is to be careful not to drop the soap in the prison shower.

A statement by an Islamic group that calls itself the Islamic Emirate of Mosul threatened to kidnap or kill all Christians whether Students or employees in Mosul University if they did not leave the university campus in three days.

According to the statement that was posted on city streets, the Islamic group threatened as well all Christians living in Mosul to leave the city within three days or the group will behead any Christian who will remain in the city.

The Islamic Emirate of Mosul had killed four Christians living in the al-Sa’aa and al-Yarmook quarters of the right littoral of the city after they were kidnapped and their bodies were found in the Wadi ‘Aaqab cemetery. The group had killed as well two Christians who arrived from Hamdaniya District to Mosul where they worked. The said group murdered another female Christian employee of the Iraqi Central Bank in Mosul. src

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (AP) — A Guyanese suspect in an alleged plot to bomb a fuel pipeline feeding New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport surrendered to police Tuesday in Trinidad, a police official said. Abdel Nur turned himself in at a police station outside the Trinidadian capital of Port-of-Spain, police spokeswoman Wendy Campbell told The Associated Press.

He is the fourth man arrested the alleged plot, including a former opposition member of Guyana’s parliament and a former airport air cargo employee who was arrested in New York.

Trinidadian Police Commissioner Trevor Paul had warned Monday that Nur should be considered armed and dangerous and he appealed to the public for help in finding him.

“I am confident that the pressure brought to bear by the Trinidadian police authorities contributed to his surrender,” said Mark Mershon, the head of the FBI in New York. “We are very grateful for their tremendous cooperation in this investigation.”

Thousands of Egyptian combat vehicles lined up an hour’s drive from Tel Aviv. In an effort to deprive Israel of fuel and international trade, Egypt also closed the Strait of Tiran – an act of war.
