Reagan’s Childhood Home to Become Parking Lot for Obama’s Library

The University of Chicago Medical Center has announced plans to turn Ronald Reagan’s childhood home in Chicago into a parking lot for President Barack Obama’s library.

The Commission on Chicago Landmarks previously denied the Gipper’s home landmark status in 2012, according to The Washington Times, and the university subsequently scheduled demolition to begin in January. Officials claim the home does not reach landmark status because it is not architecturally significant and the nation’s 40th president did nothing notable while living there.

With the wrecking balls in place, it could be 90 days or less before the home is knocked down. In its place, a plaque would serve as the marker of the historic spot, according to university representatives.

Reagan was 4 when his family moved to the 832 E. 57th St. home in the Hyde Park District of the Windy City. (S)

This is yet more proof that Obama is a no-class scoundrel. He wants to erase anything good about America as he “realigns” (destroys) this country in the name of his worthless deadbeat daddy.

A gentleman would never allow a former president to be slighted in this way, but Obama is no gentleman. He’s a slimy genetic amalgam of all the worst genes a dong-slurper like him could ever have, and he knows it.

Obama can pull insulting stunts like this all day long, but in the end, he couldn’t even qualify as a dingleberry on Reagan’s ass. He knows this too and it eats him alive.

Reagan represented all that was good about this country. Obama represents all that is bad — most of which he brought to the table.

Jimmy Carter was the worst president in American history… until Obama came along. But at least Carter was a natural-born American citizen, not a lying African usurper.

Obama, yo mama. Hail to the king. Long live his opponents in Sing Sing. No, actually folks, let’s get serious. Thanks to Obama, we’re back to looking inwardly. To being insular. To forgetting that America needs a foreign policy.

Think about it. Obama just ran for president for over two years with no foreign policy except, he would talk to Ahmadinejad, he would pull out of Iraq, and???? Um???? Oh yeah, change and hope and all that crap.

He ran as the hate Bush president. Hate America president. Hate the direction we’re going in. Period.

He never said, nor indicated he was up to the task of running the world, much less America. (more…)

Why Is Putin Shitting In His Pants Over Our Star Wars Capability?

Remember Russia’s Star Wars Program? Of Course You Don’t. But Krushchev Said He Had One.

This is a story about bravado. Russia’s, Iraq’s and Iran’s.

Right now we’re focusing on Iran’s bravado. It’s a world class stunt Ahmadinejad is in the process of pulling. He has allies each step of the way. It’s always a dangerous game he and his allies are playing, and we are taking their threats seriously. That’s why we engaged some of our enemies over the past two Bush administrations. Unfortunately, throughout these years, we haven’t had all the support, internally and externally that we would have liked, except for Israel. She has remained our steadfast ally throughout.

When Israel bombed Iraq’s nuclear installation there was a chance Iraq would retaliate. But Iraq didn’t, because it couldn’t. Or didn’t dare.

When Israel bombed Syria’s nuclear installation there was a chance Syria and Iran would retaliate. Neither did. Instead they provoked problems with Hamas and Hezbollah and Iran is playing a game that can end any of a few ways.

Which way will it end? There are always new twists and turns but the options remain the same. Pose a threat that you can actually deliver or pose a threat that when push comes to shove, fizzles out.

In a recent corollary, Saddam Hussein promised the “Mother of all wars.” We called his bluff and he couldn’t deliver. We hunted him down, strung him up (more…)

And This Alone Will Ensure His Victory…

McCain-2008-02

Yes, I was disappointed when Fred went tits up. And the looming prospect that Hitlery or B. Hussein might actually make it to our beloved White House makes me wanna blow serious chunks (vomit). A muslim sleeper or a mad feminist, what lousy goddamn choices! This is why I now give McCain my endorsement. Now he’ll win. He has to, or we’re friggin’ doomed. Our goose will be cooked. It’ll be anal intrusion with no kiss, lube, or reach-around. Ouch!

McCain-2008-01

I cannot say that old John was my first choice. After all, he is a liberal, but he’s also a fellow veteran, so I’ll give him some quarter here. I sure hope he doesn’t let me down…too much.

Reagan

True, he’s no Reagan, but no one is. Reagan was the man. Period. He’s also no Jimmy Carter, but no one is. Carter was never the man. Period.

Give ‘em Hell, John.

We’re Counting On You!

Ann Coulter: How to Keep Reagan Out of Office

Ann CoulterInasmuch as the current presidential election has come down to a choice among hemlock, self-immolation or the traditional gun in the mouth, now is the time for patriotic Americans to review what went wrong and to start planning for 2012.

How did we end up with the mainstream media picking the Republican candidate for president?

It isn’t the early primaries, it isn’t that we allow Democrats to vote in many of our primaries, and it isn’t that the voters are stupid. All of that was true or partially true in 1980 — and we still got Ronald Reagan.

We didn’t get Ronald Reagan this year not just because there’s never going to be another Reagan. We will never again get another Reagan because Reagan wouldn’t run for office under the current campaign-finance regime. (more…)

A Time For Choosing

By Paul Beston

Even though he was a monumental failure as president of the United States, Jimmy Carter just can’t resist giving grades to his successors and critiquing U.S. policy, two areas in which he should be disqualified from commenting.

This weekend Carter let loose with yet another verbal attack on President Bush, when he told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette: “I think as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history.” Carter went on to claim that Bush and his administration had represented “an overt reversal of America’s basic values as expressed by previous administrations,” by which he meant Bush’s father, Ronald Reagan, and Richard Nixon, among others. Those familiar with Carter’s quarter-century out of the White House know that during the 1980s, Carter consistently criticized Reagan’s policies as out of line with American ideals. Carter never got over the bitterness of losing to Reagan in 1980, resenting that he had to turn over the White House to a man who lacked his profound moral wisdom and knew more about ponies than he did about peanuts. Ann CoulterNo man in the last century better illustrated Jesus’ warning that “All men will hate you because of me” than the Rev. Jerry Falwell, who left this world on Tuesday. Separately, no man better illustrates my warning that it doesn’t pay to be nice to liberals.

Falwell was a perfected Christian. He exuded Christian love for all men, hating sin while loving sinners. This is as opposed to liberals, who just love sinners. Like Christ ministering to prostitutes, Falwell regularly left the safe confines of his church to show up in such benighted venues as CNN.

He was such a good Christian that back when we used to be on TV together during Clinton’s impeachment, I sometimes wanted to say to him, “Step aside, reverend — let the mean girl handle this one.” (Why, that guy probably prayed for Clinton!) (more…)

A French Reagan?

From Investor’s Business Daily:

The French Election: Sunday’s riveting blast by presidential front-runner Nicolas Sarkozy at the destructive legacy of the 1960s revealed intellectual firepower worthy of revolution. He may be France’s Ronald Reagan.

Sarkozy’s clear reading of France’s malaise at his final weekend campaign rally in Paris was powerful. He pointed to the vaunted legacy of 1968, a topic barely ever talked about anymore, as the root of France’s problems in a stunning challenge to conventional wisdom. The speech may well be historic.

“In this election, it is a question of whether the heritage of May ’68 should be perpetuated or if it should be liquidated once and for all,” Sarkozy said.

The year 1968 was terrible for the civilized world and especially for France. That May, student rioters led by radical leaders shut down France. Literally. (more…)

Duncan Hunter—The Class of Reagan

Duncan HunterThe consensus among the chattering class is that this presidential cycle features no clear heir to the Reagan mantle. Yet of the declared candidates, conservatives outnumber the media-dubbed triumvirate of Giuliani, McCain and Romney. Most notable among them is Duncan Hunter, the California representative who hails from The Gipper’s lucky city of San Diego.Hunter earned his congressional seat in 1980, in a 2-to-1 Democrat-dominated district. He did so with a winning combination of determination, shoe leather, integrity and a clear conservative philosophy as espoused by GOP presidential candidate Ronald Reagan. Certain sectors of the San Diego establishment have never forgiven Hunter for ousting nine-term Demo Rep. Lionel Van Deerlin, now a columnist for The San Diego Union-Tribune.

Hunter is a decorated Vietnam veteran who served with the 173rd Airborne Division and the 75th Army Rangers. After returning home, he attended law school and opened offices in San Diego’s Hispanic Barrio Logan, often offering legal services at no charge. Last October, before the Republican congressional losses, Hunter announced his simultaneous retirement from Congress and his presidential candidacy. In other words, he is serious about this campaign. Happy Birthday to The Gipper!

President Reagan would have been 96 years old today.

Margaret Thatcher’s Eulogy to Ronald Reagan in 2004. It was pre-recorded and I would regard it as the most eloquent and precise deliveries of the day.
