Picking up where I left off on June 10, 2008 when I wrote a piece entitled: “Jewish Preference for Political Left Over the Right Reconsidered” in which I quoted Nathan and Ruth Ann Perlmutter who over 25 years ago wrote “the mutuality of interests in our long-standing alliance with the Black civil-rights establishment is not as reciprocal as within easy memory it was,” I want to expand some on what I was referring to.
Barack Obama just won the Democratic Nomination for President of the United States with an overwhelming majority of Jews voting for him and much of the money Obama used to run was gifted by Jews. So at a time like this, why would I choose to muddy the waters and dredge up something written over 25 years ago? (more…)
