London Imam Gets an Ass Whoopin’

A MUSLIM cleric is in a serious condition in hospital today after being attacked in a London mosque.

The 58-year-old, who’s not been named, suffered heavy blood loss, damage to both eyes and had to undergo emergency surgery.

The imam was assaulted at Regent’s Park mosque on Friday.

The Muslim Council of Britain claim there have been a number of Islamophobic crimes in Britain recently.

Bend Over, Holy Land Foundation, Here Comes the Big American Weenie!

The Council on American-Islamic Relations’ best friend, the Holy Land Foundation, may be going down for the count in the not so distant future. At least one can always hope.

It’s been nearly six years coming and the reckoning is now at hand. Today, the HLF, the nation’s largest Islamic charity, goes on trial for alleged ties to terrorism. And CAIR, by the way, was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in this case.

Along with HLF itself, there were seven Muslims indicted, two of which fled the country and are fugitives from justice. Hopefully some great American tracker like Dog the Bounty Hunter is in hot pursuit.

I’m looking forward to the blogger buzz so much that I decided to post these words to kick off our coverage of the trial here at TMQ2. This trial is expected to last at least five months, so check here periodically for updates.

When writing about this case, or Islamic terrorism in general as it relates to this case, I’m not going to beat around the bush as though I’ve been infected with the bullshit liberal “political correctness” virus. Nope. Screw that. I’m no pussy and never have been.

I’m going to write about these topics in the same fashion many of us think about them, speak about them, and secretly want to write about them. I’m going to lay it out like a gutted fish for all the world to see, so hold onto your hats.

I think heard somewhere that every time a militant Muslim cleric gets wacked, 10,000 Muslim Chickens (jihadis) convert to Judaism and move to Israel. For as we all know, Muslim clerics are the culprits behind jihad and mosques are their fortresses. It must be the gerbils driving them crazy.

Troops Storm Red Mosque, Killing Cleric

Pakistan – Pakistani commandos stormed the besieged Red Mosque before dawn Tuesday and killed a hard-line cleric and dozens of his die-hard followers in a bloody assault that ignited fiery protests and calls for revenge by Islamic extremists.

The army said more than 50 militants and eight soldiers died in the fighting, but gunfire and explosions could still be heard after nightfall. Officials said troops were trying to clear militants from residential quarters next to one of the two schools in the compound.

Among the dead was pro-Taliban cleric Abdul Rashid Ghazi, who had been the public face of a campaign by the mosque leaders to use their students to impose puritanical Islamic rule in the capital. }} more…

LAST week, two very different Brits had their say about the latest terrorist plots in their country. Prime Minister Gordon Brown told the nation that “we have got to separate those great moderate members of our community from a few extremists who wish to practice violence and inflict maximum loss of life in the interests of a perversion of their religion.” By contrast, a former jihadist from Manchester wrote that the “real engine of our violence” is “Islamic theology.”

Months ago, this young man informed me that as a militant he raised most of his war chest not from obscenely rich Saudis, but from middle-class Muslim dentists living in the United Kingdom. There’s sobering lesson here for the new prime minister.

British Islamic Association Leader Blames Salman Rushdie for Terror Attacks

Iran’s Alalam News interviews the head of the “Britain Islamic Association” (a group I’m not familiar with, and couldn’t find on the web), who denies Muslims were involved in the terror attacks of the past few days, whines that they’re going to be unfairly targeted, then says that if Muslims did commit the attacks (nudge nudge, wink wink) Salman Rushdie is to blame: UK Muslims Facing More Threats. (Warning: the link goes to an Iranian site, and they often contain viruses or other malware.)

It’s the Islamic trifecta—denial, whining, and veiled threats.

Fathead Al-Sadr Back on the Block

Fiery anti-U.S. cleric reappears in Iraq

BAGHDAD – Radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr appeared in public for the first time in months on Friday, delivering a fiery anti-American sermon to thousands of followers and demanding U.S. troops leave Iraq.

It was not immediately clear why he chose to return now to his base in the Shiite holy city of Najaf from Iran. His speech had new nationalist overtones, calling on Sunnis to join with him in the fight against the U.S. presence. Tripoli, northern Lebanon: A little-known terrorist group called Fatah al-Islam (Victory of Islam) attacks the Lebanese army from a Palestinian refugee camp, breaking the peace that the city has enjoyed since 1990.

Mandali, eastern Iraq: Terrorists dressed in military uniforms go on a rampage, killing dozens of civilians, blowing up a few buildings and ending the peace that the city had enjoyed since May 2003.

Jask Peninsula, the Gulf of Oman: Small, unidentified boats harass a unit of Task Force 150, the 21-nation flotilla charged with a U.N. mission of stopping arms-smuggling into the Gulf region.

Gaza: Unknown gunmen break a cease-fire accord worked out by Saudi Arabia between Hamas and Fatah, triggering what looks like a burgeoning Palestinian civil war. At the same time, Islamic Jihad, which was not a party to the Mecca accord, resumes rocket attacks against Israel.

What’s interesting about all these incidents is that none involved the usual suspects.

Profiling Mosques

War On Terror: Europe plans to investigate mosques and identify clerics who preach terrorism. As they pay for decades of foolish immigration policies, they can be thankful there’s no ACLU looking over their shoulders.

European Union security officials say they will analyze member-state mosques, examining the training and funding sources of imams, in a project to be completed by fall.

It may be abhorrent to societies proud of religious toleration to “discriminate” against the places of worship of one particular faith. But as usually politically correct Europeans have concluded, it also amounts to simple common sense.
