I just finished reading an advance copy of a book due out in October called Abraham’s Children: Race, Identity and the DNA of the Chosen People by Jon Entine.
Although the potential for controversy certainly exists with a book so titled, the author, in my opinion, attempts to be fair and objective on the subject. He presents viewpoints of scientists and pseudo scientists, and makes sure to qualify the latter.
The subject matter concerns itself primarily with one of Abraham’s children, the Jewish one.

Yep, especially when it fails to flesh out a juicy anecdote about naked Christians trying to convert a naked atheist in a hot tub. Still, it’s nice to see the usual man-among-the-apes tone of the media’s reporting on Christians semi-justified for once by the oddness of the circumstances here — even if it is a little gratuitous with the ugly details:

Mary Katharine Ham does what she can to salvage a political angle from this otherwise neutral tale of faith, freedom, and fat.

In this Al Jazeera interview, Nation of Islam mullah, anti-Semite, and race baiter, Louis Farrakhan, lies to Al Jazeera about his hatred for Jews and Israel. He lies about Palestinians being in Israel before the Jews (not that Palestinians even exist). And he makes a ridiculous argument about Jews being the real anti-Semites, not Muslims or Jimmy Carter.
I wonder if those blunts are laced with Angel Dust or Crack?

Louis Farrakhan’s real name is Louis Eugene Walcott. Rumor has it his childhood friends called him “Twinkie-boy” or “Twink,” gay slang to describe an attractive young or young-looking gay male (usually 18-22) with a slender build, only slightly muscular, with little or no body hair. Perhaps that cute little bow tie he wears hints at his true sexual persuasion.
Anyway, let’s see how long this video stays up before militant Muslims and black racists have it taken down (which I edited and posted to You Tube). They just can’t stand the ugly truth about Farrakhan.

While condemning terrorism is always the decent thing to do, lying to people about Islam isn’t. You’ll notice that “Not in Our Name” website is islamispeace.org.uk. Islam doesn’t mean peace, it means submission.
Why do these ad campaigns inevitably lead me to the conclusion that those responsible think bigotry and prejudice are more problematic than suicide bombs, murder, and terrorism?
I’d feel a lot better if the campaign was designed to convince Muslims that Islam is peaceful, rather than convincing non-Muslims of it.

I loved the Stooges as a kid. Moe, Larry, Curly, Shemp, and Curly-Joe were a huge part of my childhood. I saw all their movies and all the Stooges short episodes. Khaled Mashaal, Hamas’ loser-in-exile, issued the statement yesterday that Israel would be making a big mistake if it did something-or-other. I think he was supposedly upset that the IDF was doing something on a road that was near the Dome-of-the Rock in Jerusalem.
Mashaal called on Palestinians to get more rambunctious and obnoxious than usual if Israel dared to do something-or-other. Like Israel gives a shit what the big fat Hamas loser-in-exile says. (more…)
