Remington 870

“Today I swung my front door wide open and placed my Remington 870, in a wheelchair, right in the doorway. I gave it 6 shells, I then left it alone and went about my business.

While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the neighbor boy across the street mowed the yard, new neighbors moved in next door, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the stop sign right in front of our house.

After about five hours, I checked on the gun. It was still sitting there in the wheelchair, right where I had left it. It hadn’t rolled itself anywhere. It certainly hadn’t killed anyone, even with the numerous opportunities it had been presented to do so. In fact, it hadn’t even loaded itself.

Well you can imagine my surprise, with all the media hype about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people.

Either the media is wrong, and it’s the misuse of guns by PEOPLE that kills people, or I’m in possession of the laziest gun in the world.

Alright, well I’m off to check on my spoons. I hear they’re making people fat.”

Tunnels and Terror

“Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) is concerned about the national-security implications of tunnels found under our southern border (Rapid Fire, October). But that does nothing to address the root of the problem: the free availability of SHOVELS in the border states, and the unrestricted flow of those SHOVELS into Mexico. Why isn’t she calling for SHOVEL registration, and reporting of multiple SHOVEL purchases [and outlawing certain SHOVELS]? If we were talking about GUNS instead of SHOVELS, she certainly would.” –Joe Filice, Wauchula, FL (From American Legion Magazine, VET VOICE section, December 2011 issue).

Paranoid liberals gripped by their own hysteria are inconsistent with their own political methods, models, and agendas.

I wonder how long it will be before it’s against the law to dig a hole.

Liberals need to learn three things:

1. SHOVELS don’t dig tunnels, people do.
2. GUNS don’t kill people, people do.
3. CONSERVATIVES don’t cause liberal hysteria, liberals do.

Hurricane Katrina and the Iowa Floods

Where are all of the Hollywood celebrities holding telethons asking for millions to help Iowa and helping the folks affected by the floods?

Why isn’t the Federal Government relocating tens of thousands of Iowans to free hotels in Chicago?

Why hasn’t the media predicted we’ll soon learn everyone’s been covering up the truth about the thousands of dead bodies?

Where is all the media asking the tough questions about why the Federal Government hasn’t solved the problem? Asking where the FEMA trucks (and trailers) are?

When will Spike Lee say that the Federal Government blew up the levees that failed in Des Moines?

Where are Sean Penn and the Dixie Chicks? How come no one’s embarrassed to be an American when a natural disaster hits White America?

When will Governor Chet Culver say that he’s going to rebuild a “vanilla” Iowa because that’s the way God wants it?

How come no famous reverends said God did this to punish Iowans because they believe in something sinful, like Jesus?

How come no famous liberals said the Federal Government flooded its own cities to get the people’s minds off those infamous wars over there?

How come all those inept mayors haven’t been blaming Obama and his supporters for not supporting Whites in times of dire need?

Where are all the looters stealing high-end tennis shoes and big screen TV sets?

Where is the hysterical 24/7 media coverage, complete with reports of cannibalism?

Where are the people declaring that George Bush hates white and rural people?

How come two weeks after the floods began we stopped hearing anything else about the floods in Iowa?

Ann CoulterDemocrats claim Gen. David Petraeus’ report to Congress on the surge was a put-up job with a pre-ordained conclusion. As if their response wasn’t.

Democrats yearn for America to be defeated on the battlefield and oppose any use of the military — except when they can find individual malcontents in the military willing to denounce the war and call for a humiliating retreat.

It’s been the same nay-saying from these people since before we even invaded Iraq — despite the fact that their representatives in Congress voted in favor of that war. (more…)

If Osama bin Laden ever gets tired of waging global jihad, perhaps he should interview for a job with MoveOn.org.

He’d get one, judging from his latest videotape to the American people: The first in three years, it contains vast sections of rambling rhetoric indistinguishable from the latest “netroots” rant.

“Why are the leaders of the White House keen to start wars and wage them around the world,” he asks, “occasionally even creating justifications based on deception and blatant lies, as you saw in Iraq?”

As it turns out, it’s all because of those evil oil companies: “The capitalist system,” he continues, “seeks to turn the entire world into a fiefdom of the major corporations under the label of ‘globalization’ in order to protect democracy.”

Sound familiar? (more…)

Ann CoulterIf you’ve just returned from your Labor Day vacation and are scanning the headlines from last week’s newspapers — don’t panic! America is not threatened by a category 5 hurricane named “Larry Craig.”

Despite the 9/11-level coverage, Larry Craig is merely accused of “cruising while Republican.” There is nothing liberals love more than gay-baiting, which they disguise as an attack on “hypocrisy.” (more…)

Iraq Inspection
A Look at Where the Nation is Headed

by Ralph Peters

BAGHDAD — THERE is no substitute for being on the ground if you want a sense of where Iraq may be headed. The reality is almost always different when you smell it up close.

Back in the United States, I receive updates from a wide range of military friends and acquaintances – yet, no matter how much progress they report, the constant negativity in the media starts to wear me down, too.

Then I return to Iraq. And each time I board a military aircraft to leave Baghdad, I find my confidence heightened that persistence will yield advantageous results. (more…)

What Exit? Fallujah!

by Ralph Peters

FALLUJAH – Jersey rules. The Marines of 1st Platoon, Fox Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines aren’t living large, but they’re making a huge difference. Bunking in a police precinct headquarters in Fallujah, they’re at the forward edge of our current successes in Iraq.

It’s summertime, but the living ain’t easy. The work’s tough, the heat’s wicked, the “facilities” conjure the old line about what bears do in the woods, and only goodie boxes from home liven up a diet of field rations (great for two or three days, nasty after two or three months).

You’d expect complaints. I didn’t hear one. And talking to three Jersey boys, I was surprised to hear just how positive they felt about the mission. }} more…

HITCHENS ON IRAQ

Christopher Hitchens is the author of more than ten books, including, most recently, God Is Not Great – How Religion Poisons Everything. He is a contributing editor to Vanity Fair, and has written prolifically for American and English periodicals, including The Nation, The London Review of Books, Granta, Harper’s, The Los Angeles Times Book Review, New Left Review, Slate, The New York Review of Books, Newsweek International, The Times Literary Supplement, The Atlantic and The Washington Post. He is also a regular television and radio commentator.

What is the situation on the ground in Iraq – militarily and politically? Should the United States stay or withdraw and what would be the consequences of each? Christopher Hitchens, one of the war’s most ardent supporters, analyzes the current battle taking place in America over the direction and management of this most divisive of wars and argues why it is imperative for America to stand by its commitment to the people of Iraq.

PJM’s Jim Hanson, of Blackfive.net, takes an in-depth look at the tragedy that occurred in Haditha on November 19, 2005. As to whether or not the killings of Iraqis on that day constituted a crime, Hanson contends that “all available documents and reports and most of the testimony” say no. }} more…

More on Murtha’s BACKSTABSCAM

There are now officially two “Ex” Marines in the history of the United States Marine Corp: Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Murtha. Both have dishonored the Corp and their country.

To any red-blooded American serviceman, this would be the ultimate insult. But guys like Murtha just don’t give a shit. He couldn’t care less about esprit de corp.

All Smurfa cares about is undermining warriors who are the real deal since he never was. He’s a louse and hates himself for it. He’ll go to his grave a dishonorable ex Marine. There is nothing he can do at this point to change this. Bloggers like me will write his history, not lefty-liberal traitors and history’s underhanded revisionists. Nope, not this time.

All others members of the Corp are either Marines or former Marines. All have honored the Corp and their country.

Q: What’s the opposite of Chesty Puller?

A: Jack Murtha.

Behold Chesty Puller and Jack Murtha…the ultimate Marine contrast.

Murtha

Let’s now revisit Murtha’s original Haditha harangue while being interviewed by his butt-buddy and fellow fifth-columnist Chris Matthews of MSNBC.

From September 2006:

May 18th 2006 John Murtha Tells Chris Matthews on Hardball that US Troops have “killed in cold blood.” This before the troops have even been charged with a crime. At this point they are only being held on witness accounts of this. Witnesses which are currently believed to be enemy combatants.

Of course a lot has changed since then and Smurfa has egg dripping from his old, crotchety face as he dodges anyone seeking updated comments to his seditious rant.

The Marine Corps investigator has now dropped all charges against 3 of the 8 accused Marines in the case, and only one Marine still stands accused of crimes at the scene. The others are charged with various after-the-fact issues that arose from investigations of Haditha, not the events themselves. Murtha’s aim, of course, in accusing the Marines of murder “in cold blood” was to pin the blame on Bush. But in the process of blaming Bush, he slandered those Marines.

One of those Marines, Col. Jeffrey Chessani, plans to sue Murtha once he’s exonerated.

Let’s hope he wins big and cleans out Murtha’s bank accounts. You know, the ones holding all his dirty money.

And let’s also hope this is the beginning of the end for this low-life thug who has been hiding in and leaching from our political system for far too long. If this were the 1800s, Murtha would have already been tarred, feathered, and hung from the nearest tree. Stringing people up did in fact teach them a lesson.

Lucky for this ass-munch we’re more civilized than he is.

Heat, Dust and Marines

by Ralph Peters

OUTPOST DELTA, KARMAH, IRAQ — MARINE Cpl. William Thomas kicked off his patrol briefing promptly at 5 a.m. The other members of 2nd Squad, 3rd Platoon, Lima Company, listened as if their lives depended on the corporal’s instructions.

Because their lives would depend on what their squad leader had to say.

The briefing covered everything from specific duties to details of the ground we’d cover. The mission: Extend the security perimeter around the outpost, do a “census check” of Iraqi ID cards in a marketplace and gather intelligence.

“First fire team – security. Second team in support, evacuate any prisoners. Third team – assault element.” (more…)

Fruits of Retreat

AND so the world of conventional wisdom is even now rearing in horror at the mere thought of President Bush daring to compare the war in Iraq to the war in Vietnam – or, rather, describing the consequences of losing the war in Iraq by discussing the consequences of our loss in Vietnam and asking the American people if they want to see that disastrous past repeated as our inglorious future.

You could almost feel the outrage rising like steam heat from the left side of the blogosphere: Why, doesn’t that evil moron know that Vietnam is our analogy? }} more…

Why the New Iraq Policy Works

From the NY Post:

Taming the Tribes

by Rich Lowry

IN September 1898, an outnumbered British-led army battled the forces of a Muslim fanatic in Omdurman, Sudan. The Brits unleashed machine-gun fire and artillery on the primitive warriors and suffered a loss of 48 dead and 434 wounded, while killing 9,700, wounding 13,000 and capturing 5,000 of the enemy. Winston Churchill, who was present, called it “the most signal triumph ever gained by the arms of science over barbarians.” The British ruled Sudan for another five decades.

In October 1993, badly outnumbered American troops battled the forces of a Somali clan leader in Mogadishu. We unleashed machine-gun fire and helicopter gunships on the primitive warriors and suffered 18 fatalities and 73 wounded to as many 5,500 Somali killed and wounded. It was a fight nearly as lopsided as the Battle of Omdurman, but America was out of Somalia within a year. (more…)

Iranian Filmmaker: Oliver Stone Seeks To Make Film On Ahmadinejad To “Counter Negative Propaganda” Against Islam

U.S. filmmaker Oliver Stone has again proposed making a documentary about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian producer and filmmaker Alireza Sajjadpur said August 16.

Sajjadpur, who is also secretary of Iran’s Islamic Society of Artists, said that Stone’s publicist had emailed the request to Ahmadinejad’s office, and added that in the email, the publicist “referred to the bad image that the U.S. media has given to Islam and Islamic countries and said that the documentary could assist in countering such negative propaganda.”

Ahmadinejad’s art advisor, Javad Shamaqdari, has stated that the president has not yet responded to this request.

Stone’s first request to make the documentary was announced by Sajjadpur on June 28, but Ahmadinejad’s media advisor Mehdi Kalhor rejected it and called Stone a part of “the Great Satan” (i.e. the U.S.).

Source: Mehr, Iran, August 17, 2007

Oliver Stone’s head is so far up his own ass that he doesn’t realize Ahmadinejad want’s to be known as a bad guy. He loves to intimidate the kaffirs. He couldn’t care less about changing his image. He’s worked hard to project it this way.

Perhaps TMQ2 should propose to make a film about how deadly a threat Islam is, how committed old Achtung-ijad really is to converting the West to Islam, and how much liberal ass-wipes and cowards like Stone help him to achieve his goal. I’ll bet Mahmoud would even fund our project.

U.S. veteran or not, Oliver Stone needs to flush out his head gear.
