Turmoil in the Mid East.

Should we support the voices of democracy?

Should we hope for stability of autocratic status quo?

The voice of the people claims that they are oppressed by corrupt leaders who are the stooges of Zionists and Jews.

Those in power insist they are righteous and the insurrections are the instigations and meddling of Jews and Zionists.

What’s an infidel to think?

Methinks they can kill each other off until there are none left, but in the mean time they can just

It’s said that the “truth will set you free,” but when an intrepid Israeli reporter browbeat Dr. Daniel Brown (name has been changed) into going public five years ago, the aftermath was traumatic. “I had always been open about my identity with both my family and friends,” he recalls, “and no one had ever been less than supportive and warm. But this particular Israeli newspaper misrepresented its agenda to me. I didn’t know that it intended to publicize or sensationalize my interview the way it ultimately did. The story was printed in the weekend edition of the paper, and all day long on Thursday and erev Shabbat radio commercials continually blasted every 15 minutes: Hitler’s nephew’s grandson — right here in Israel — and a Jew! The repercussions left my family shaken.”

Brown’s sons — enrolled in a modern Orthodox yeshivah in Jerusalem — were spat upon by several of their classmates and called “Nazis.” A handful of neighbors studiously avoided Brown when they encountered him on the street. And in shul the Shabbat after the story aired, a number of social acquaintances who normally greeted him with hearty handshakes turned the other way. }} more…

Once upon a time in the east, mid-east that is, in the aftermath of the break up of the Ottoman Empire, a small nation was established.

Some might say that it was an artificial country even though it was designed to be the home state of an ancient non-Muslim people.

This little country was considered by many to a beacon or pied-a-tierre of western civilization on the shores of the eastern Mediterranean.

But Muslim Arabs had other plans.

Slowly, over many years, through, pressure, forced accommodation, Palestinian infiltration, murder, terror and other mayhem, Muslims made life practically unbearable for the non-Muslims for whom this nation was meant to be a haven.

Eventually it came to pass that the country was no longer recognizable as what it was meant to be and became just another brutal, repressive Islamist rogue state.

This is not a dire prediction of what will happen to Israel if it keeps making concessions to Arabs and others who wish it no good fortune,God forbid, even though it might sound like it.

This is not a prediction because it relates to events that have already happened.

This is not a prediction but rather a lesson.

This is not about what can happen to Israel but rather what has already happened to Lebanon.

Since the time of Jesus, Christians have lived in the area of Mount Lebanon. It was meant to be a Christian country just as Israel was meant to be a Jewish state.

Yet as you read this, the country of Lebanon is about to be dismantled and over run as were Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia seventy years ago.

This haven for Christians is being turned into a prison and graveyard for them, as it’s transformed into an aggressive Iranian satellite poised to kill within it’s own borders and without.

And the world is silent.

The silence of the American government and this administration is especially deafening.

I guess there is no reason to defend the persecuted if a finger can’t be pointed at the Jews.

But there will be time enough for that once the Christians are out of the way and Israel is forced to defend itself.

Remember what happened in 2006.

I had some down time today and someone in the office had a copy of the New York Times.

There was a back page hatchet job on Sarah Palin, the author of which is a name that I didn’t bother to remember.

For those of you in a vacuum, Sarah Palin was cited as the inspiration and motivating impetus behind the murderous rampage of a psychopath in Arizona.

She released a video response, which in the course of defending herself lambasted left of center entities for fomenting uncalled-for calumnies.

The Times, in it’s never-ending treachery, publishes an article with a byline accusing Palin of stoking hatred and Antisemitism because in her defense she referred to her debasement as a blood libel.

I would say the pot is calling the kettle black, but it would be a disservice.

Where does the Times get the balls for this move?

Like her or hate her, there is no denying that Sarah Palin is a quintessential Philo-Semite.

How many staff writers at the Times have an Israeli flag in their office or wear an  American/Israeli flag lapel pin, as Palin does?

The Times denies her the right to use the term blood libel in describing her slanderous victimization, but where is the outrage when Jew haters and Arabs bandy about the terms holocaust and genocide in comparing Jews to Nazis in attempt to negate the rights of Jews in Israel?

I can’t wait for this rag to go out of business.

However, until then, we here a TMQ2 extend a cordial invitation to the New York Times to kindly, SHUT THE FUCK UP.

First Day of Rosh Hashanah 2010
Sermon delivered by Rabbi Schlomo Lewis of Atlanta

I thought long and I thought hard on whether to deliver the sermon I am about to share. We all wish to bounce happily out of shul on the High Holidays, filled with warm fuzzies, ready to gobble up our brisket, our honey cakes and our kugel. We want to be shaken and stirred – but not too much. We want to be guilt-schlepped – but not too much. We want to be provoked-but not too much. We want to be transformed-but not too much.

I get it, but as a rabbi I have a compelling obligation, a responsibility
to articulate what is in my heart and what I passionately believe must be said and must be heard. And so, I am guided not by what is easy to say but by what is painful to express. I am guided not by the frivolous but by the serious. I am guided not by delicacy but by urgency.

We are at war. We are at war with an enemy as savage, as voracious, as heartless as the Nazis, but one wouldn’t know it from our behavior. (more…)

Photo: Obama, His Flunkies and Jews

My wife, who believes life is meant to be experienced in a state of blissful ignorance, asked me yesterday,

“Why do Jews like Obama so much? He doesn’t seem to like Israel or Jews at all.”

This was prompted by gushing comments over Obama’s photo op with Bibi that were made by her mother, who believes life is meant to be experienced in total oblivion.

I gave my wife the short story and told her that some Jews have their heads up their asses, and think everyone should enjoy the smell as much as they do. They are too blinded being liberals to see the writing on the wall.

But you dear reader are more sophisticated and deserve the long form. (more…)

… At what point is it okay for Israel and for Jews to fight anti-Semites such as Hamas, Iran, or al Qaeda terrorists? And who are we to listen to? Who should we take advice from? Do we listen to the United Nations, to Obama or to Gandhi?

… Sometimes we shouldn’t listen to anyone of them. You say, but surely some great person, leader or institution ought to have good advice.

… But I say, why must that be so? Here’s proof.

… During World War II, Gandhi penned an open letter to the British people, urging them to surrender to the Nazis. Later, when the extent of the Holocaust was known, he criticized Jews who had tried to escape or fight for their lives as they did in Warsaw and Treblinka. “The Jews should have offered themselves to the butcher’s knife,” he said. “They should have thrown themselves into the sea from cliffs.”

Jew Bites Arab

Unfortunately in free capitalist society media outlets may be less concerned with factual news than with profits, be it newspaper sales or TV ratings. They may also be concerned with keeping their friends in power.

One thing we all know is that nothing sells newspapers like a good “Man Bites Dog” story.
Why?

Because “Dog bites man” is mundane, expected and is so ordinary that it does nothing to pique anybody’s interest and won’t sell news ink.Give an editor a good “Man bites dog” copy and the world will gobble it up.

After reading the following piece by David Harris you will see how it proves my point that “Arab bites Jew” or “Arab bites Arab” is so commonplace, so mundane, so ordinary, that it’s the equivalent of “Dog bites man” or “Dog bites other dog” story.

But the fact that “Jew bite Arab” stories fill the media is because the frequency of the actual occurence itself is minor, the fact it happens will sell papers and the media will play it up for the sake of sensationalism.

Rank Hypocrisy and Transparent Double Standards
David Harris
February 7, 2010

I know I shouldn’t be surprised any longer, but I still can’t help it.

In a recent edition of The New York Times, after seeing 25 column inches on p. A4 devoted to an article entitled “Israel Rebukes 2 in Attack on U.N. Complex,” I read a short news item two pages later. It wasn’t quite eight lines long, the fourth of five items under “World Briefing.”

Here are the first two (of three) sentences:

“A human rights group criticized Jordan on Monday for stripping the citizenship of nearly 3,000 Jordanians of Palestinian origin in recent years. Concerned about increasing numbers of Palestinians, who make up nearly half the population, Jordan began in 2004 revoking the citizenship from Palestinians who do not have Israeli permits to reside in the West Bank.”

Apart from the scanty news coverage of what is, after all, an important story — thousands of people losing their citizenship as a country seeks to tilt its delicate demographic balance — there is, of course, another issue. (more…)

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was born Jewish and converted to Islam, according to a report in London’s Daily Telegraph.

The Saturday report cited a photograph from 2008 which showed Ahmadinejad holding up his identity card, bearing his former last name, Sabourjian, a common Jewish name in Iran.

The Telegraph said that the name was “Jewish” for cloth weaver, and that the Iranian president’s family had changed their name when they converted to Islam. “The name derives from “weaver of the Sabour,” the name for the Jewish Tallit shawl in Persia,” the report said.

The report also cited experts as speculating that Ahmadinejad’s anti-Semitic rhetoric may be a kind of overcompensation to conceal his heritage. “Every family that converts into a different religion takes a new identity by condemning their old faith… By making anti-Israeli statements he is trying to shed any suspicions about his Jewish connections,” Ali Nourizadeh, the head of the Centre for Arab and Iranian Studies was quoted as saying.

The Jerusalem Post, Aug 20, 2009:

By DAVID SHAMAH

“We are of the same race and blood, and cooperation will bring great prosperity to the land,” wrote Emir Faisal to Felix Frankfurter in 1917. Faisal was known for his affinity to the Zionists who had begun streaming to the Holy Land; in 1919, he signed a cooperation agreement with Chaim Weizmann, to whom he wrote that he was “mindful of the racial kinship and ancient bonds existing between the Arabs and the Jewish people.”

But Faisal’s proclamations of kinship with the Jews were more than lip service to a commonly held belief, says Tsvi Misinai, who knows perhaps more about the origins of the modern Palestinians than anyone.

“Faisal’s paternal line was Hashemite,” he says, “meaning he was directly descended from Muhammad. But the mother of his maternal grandfather, King On, was descended from a family of forced Jewish converts to Islam that immigrated to the east bank of the Jordan, later returning to one of the villages west of the Jordan. Unlike today, when Faisal was growing up, his grandfather’s mother’s Jewish origin was known, and they made no great effort to hide it. And what was known to Faisal is known to many Palestinians today as well.”

This is a story of what may be one of the best-kept secrets in history – one that could, in time, heal the terrible rift that has torn the Land of Israel asunder. After years of research, Misinai says that he can declare with certainty that nearly 90 percent of all Palestinians are descended from the Jews. “And what’s more, about half of them know it,” he says. This article posted with author’s permission:

Joan SwirskyIn times past, coalminers working in the depths of the earth took along caged canaries. As long as the canaries warbled, the miners knew they were safe from the methane and carbon monoxide that would kill them in minutes. But when the tiny songbirds stopped singing, the miners knew to run for their lives.

Jews have always been the canaries in the coal mines of civilization, serving as a warning of impending doom to those who believed, as Churchill said, that the crocodile — of tyranny — would eat them last. The Jews of Hitler’s Germany who listened carefully to the savage dictator’s early words, and watched as his promises of hope and change morphed into incremental losses of freedom and ultimately genocide, fled their country and survived, while the six-million who said “it can’t happen here” — as well as six-million non-Jews who believed they were immune — perished in the largest mass-murder in history. The internet is awash of images of the President of the United States bowing in submission and subservience to the King of Saudi Arabia.

My first thought on seeing this was of Mordechai of Purim fame refusing to bow down before Haman, because as a Jew he bows only to The Lord.

We can safely assume now that Obama is no Jew.

What else can we assume from this act?

No one else in the video did anything more than shake hands with the king.

There were no images of Obama bowing before Queen Elizabeth.

Can we assume Obama wanted a closer look at the royal dipstick?

Can we assume that like in the world of dogs, as a sign of friendship he needed to sniff the king’s crotch?

My assumption is that President Dickweed was in such awe of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Protector of Mecca and Medina, to the point that he was obligated to almost prostrate himself as evidence of being a good Muslim.

If Mario Cuomo denied being a Catholic and then as president publicly kissed the Pope’s ring, what would be the logical conclusion?

I would rest my case but I can’t find my case rester.

Soldiers of Peace

Caroline Glick PhotoCompare and contrast the following three events: At the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors meeting on Wednesday, George Schulte, the US ambassador to the IAEA, pointed an accusatory finger at Syria. Damascus, Schulte said, has not come clean on its nuclear program. That program, of course, was exposed in September 2007 when Israel reportedly destroyed Syria’s North Korean-built, Iranian-financed al-Kibar nuclear reactor.

In its report to its Board of Governors, the IAEA stated that in analyzing soil samples from the bombed installation, its inspectors discovered traces of uranium. The nuclear watchdog agency also noted that the Syrians have blocked UN nuclear inspectors from the site and from three other suspected nuclear sites.

Reacting to the IAEA report, Schulte said that it “contributes to the growing evidence of clandestine nuclear activities in Syria.” (more…)

I recommend the film “Defiance”

It’s fast paced, action packed, and based on a true story.

The Bielski brothers escaped into the forests of Belarus in 1941. They formed a partisan brigade that rescued about 1200 Jews from the Germans.

Unlike most Holocaust genre films, this one portrays Jews not as lambs to the slaughter but rather as a force to be reckoned with.

It’s score one for the good guys as the Bielskis serve the Nazis with hot lead enemas. We need more films like this one and maybe some where it’s Nazi Muslims getting the shit kicked out of them.

Islamist Jew-murder is Coming to America

by Hana Levi Julian

Barely two months after a rabbi, his wife and four other Jews were brutally murdered in a Chabad House in Mumbai, India, the Chabad-Lubavitch World Headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn has been targeted in a series of jihadist videos posted on the internet. The English-language videos and posts singled out Orthodox Jews, and especially the Chabad-Lubavitch community in the Crown Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York, for attack. The source of the thinly-veiled threats, a group called Revolution Muslim, is domestic to the United States, and the English-language threats are carefully tailored in an attempt to avoid breaking any American laws. Nonetheless, the intent is clear, according to the Targeted Actionable Monitoring Center (TAM-C) of the Institute of Terrorism Research and Response (ITRR), a U.S. and Israel-based organization with offices in the United Kingdom as well. Q: Who are the biggest and best liars on the face of the earth?
A: No. It’s not the Democrats. It’s the shameless Palestinian thugs.

According to Palestinians, they were expelled from Israel by the Jewish armies in 1948. A large documentation, and many testimonies from Arab leaders and historians intend to prove that, actually, they fled the zone of conflict because of Arab propaganda, spreading the fake news of massacres… Deir Yassin, among those so said massacres, became a legend. Such as Jenin, and Gaza will be decades later. Pallywood, pallywood…

Dear Ms. Trine Lilleng,

You were an unknown Norwegian diplomat till this month.

No longer.

As first secretary in the Norwegian Embassy in Saudi Arabia, you recently sent out an email on your office account in which you declared: “The grandchildren of Holocaust survivors from World War II are doing to the Palestinians exactly what was done to them by Nazi Germany.”

Accompanying your text were photos, with an emphasis on children, seeking to juxtapose the Holocaust with the recent Israeli military operation in Gaza.

Clearly, you are miscast in your role as a diplomat, all the more so of a nation that has sought to play a mediating role in the Arab-Israeli conflict.

In fact, you’re desperately in need of some education.

Let’s begin with your current posting. You’ve been in Riyadh since 2007.

If you’re so anguished by human rights violations, perhaps you could have begun by devoting some of your attention – and email blasts – to what surrounds you.

Or were your eyes diplomatically shut? (more…)
