Oil is formed under the crust of the earth due to immense heat and pressure. Oil and gas that rise to the surface change form or organically breakdown or seem to disappear due to dilution. Those countries with vast petroleum and natural gas deposits just happen to be geographically located in such places. Outside of the United States, countries with huge oil reserves include Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria and Venezuela. (more…)
