More than 2,500 years ago, Sun Tzu wrote “The Art of War.” In it, the Chinese strategist postulated: “One who knows the enemy and knows himself will not be endangered in a hundred engagements. … One who knows neither the enemy nor himself will invariably be defeated.”

Two millenniums later, Prussian military theorist Carl Philipp Gottfried von Clausewitz wrote a detailed exposition on the principles of warfare. His book “On War” — published after his death in 1831 — posits, inter alia, that inadequate, incomplete or incorrect intelligence will inevitably contribute to the “fog of war” and lead to “unexpected developments” that can obscure “the objective” in a conflict.

Unfortunately for us, our elected and appointed leaders in Washington appear to be completely unfamiliar with those two works. In the aftermath of last week’s Boston Marathon terror attack, it is clear that those running our federal government — cocooned in federal buildings protected by high-tech security, metal detectors, bag searches, mail sensors and armed guards and convoyed to and fro in motorcades of armored limousines — know neither our enemy nor what we need to do about it. It’s not a new phenomenon. It’s just getting worse.

While Gaza and the Muslim Arab world continue to claim victory in the recent Israel-Hamas conflict, for the sane observers among us, there is only ever defeat – the defeat of morality in the desecration of a great religion. While most Muslims laud Hamas and scorn Israel, for me, an observing Muslim, Israel’s war against Hamas remains my struggle – my jihad.

Israel’s eight-day operation “Pillar of Defense” sought to dismantle the Hamas apparatus from within Gaza. The predictably seamless alignment of the Muslim world against Israel was even more breathtaking than usual in the face of Syria’s 22 months of systematic genocide, one which has consistently failed to trigger unanimous Muslim protest. What does this say about us as Muslims?

We are hypocrites.

Just In Time For Christmas

The Christmas season’s become a time to reflect on the fate of Christians around the world, from the besieged ancient communities of the Middle East to the tyrannized worshippers in China. But let us not ignore the violent threats to Christians in Africa.

Men belonging to Boko Haram murdered at least 10 people in the Nigerian village of Chibok earlier this month. Armed with guns and knives, they slit the throats of victims before burning their houses down. Eleven others were killed the month before in the town of Jaji when a car loaded with explosives rammed into a church.

Ansar Dine fighters: Members of the al Qaeda-affiliated terror group that has siezed control of Timbuktu and the rest of northern Mali.

In northern Nigeria, the anti-Western, anti-Christian, anti-government Boko Haram is the top Islamist terror gang. Since 2009, its atrocities have killed at least 3,000 people in Africa’s most populous nation.

Half of Nigeria (mostly in the south) is Christian. Christians outnumber Muslims — but if Boko Haram has its way, that ratio will change.

As far as the group’s ideologues are concerned, sharia — Islamic law — must rule the country. Non-Muslim symbols, such as churches or crosses (and for that matter anything else that might have been touched by Western influence), are haram (forbidden). Anyone even suspected of holding Christian or other non-Muslim beliefs is a fair target.

Boko Haram isn’t all that well organized. Its ideologues often recruit run-of-the-mill thugs in targeting the infidels. Rape, maiming and looting often precede vicious killings.

Oh, and Boko Haram isn’t alone in Africa. Militant Islamists are spreading from the traditionally Muslim deserts of the Maghreb along the Mediterranean, moving south to spots like Somalia, Mali, Niger and Kenya.

Groups fighting Christians and other non-Muslim religionists aren’t necessarily linked (though many are inspired by al Qaeda). Iran and Sunni factions around the globe compete in nurturing and financing the fanatics — in some cases exporting fighters to Africa.

Of course, many African Muslims prefer to live in harmony with their Christian neighbors and tolerate adherents of other religions. But the Arab Spring success of sharia-based parties in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya has emboldened those who, like Boko Haram, would rather see all Christians gone. Arms flowing from post-Khadafy Libya stoke the fires further.

An Apology to All Muslim Jihadists

Having previously posted a call for debate to All Muslims, and having to this date subsequently received no response from any member of my intended audience in the Muslim community at large, I have come to realize the grave error that I made.

I see now that my error was in calling for critical and intelligent debate with anyone claiming adherence to the current-day debauchery and absurdity being ludicrously espoused, promulgated and propagated by the imbecilic tragic abomination and blasphemy of the prophet Mohammad, a lying, treacherous, murderous pedophilia embracing rapist whose words were robed in piety and whose true intentions of total domination are still hidden by religious rhetoric.

Instead, what I should have done was to post a litany of pornographic exposé showing misguided jihadists partaking in their favorite pastime, the much-loved and so often requested receipt of the “Rear Admiral” from their dildo wearing captive female slaves while yanking their pathetically diminutive noodles in an effort to remove the feces from their urethra left there by their last gang rape of baby camels and small dogs, all the while watching some variety of pornographic display on their cave walls.

So that said to all you misguided Muslim Morons… when you are not otherwise involved in the above described activities, or involved in your other favored and usual activities of beheading defenseless men, women and young children or running amuck with fever pitched wails and moans while becrying your incredulity and outrage at the supposed tragic and unjust manner that you, your pedophilic rapist and murderous prophet and your pseudo-religion’s equally degenerate clergy are constantly being ridiculed and condemned with by the majority of the remaining world’s higher intellect… Please take a moment to view this well-deserved treat that I have provided here just for you.

No need to thank me, I’m just trying to make amends for past errors and deficiencies by increasing the length of my sentences for you simple-minded cretins whose attention span can only accommodate a very limited number of periods, period.

Six years ago, on November 11, 2004, Yasir Arafat died. On that occasion, former President Bill Clinton explained why he wouldn’t attend Arafat’s funeral: “I regret that in 2000 he missed the opportunity to bring [Palestine] into being….” Not Israel, but Arafat did so.

Today, the Arafat era’s lessons have been largely swept under the rug: his persistent mendacity, use of terrorism, cynical exploitation of an “underdog” posture to garner sympathy, and unfailing devotion to the dream of wiping Israel off the map. The placing of that last priority over creating a Palestinian state is why there is none today. Not Israeli policy, not settlements, but the preference for total victory over compromise.

HARTWELL: Obama lawsuit invites fortified state militia

He’s absolutely right.

The number of militia groups formed inside the United States prior to Obama’s invalid presidency was approximately 175. Now there are over 500 and counting, thanks to the liberals in Congress and especially our invalid president, Barry Soetoro (a.k.a. Barack Hussein Obama, his Muslim name).

One of the writers from HuffPo (Huffington Post) labels patriots who resist their radical ideology as extremists. Most militia are anything but a bunch of rag-tag right-wing nuts. They are an amalgam of  able-bodied patriotic men, military veterans, and others who are willing to train and fight against an illegal government.

Thomas Jefferson said it best (and I’m paraphrasing here):

“A little homespun revolution is good for the government.” 

Given the current gaggle of seditious traitors, communists, and neo-Marxists who are clearly pushing (snatching) us away from the America we all know and love, we need more than a “little homespun” revolt. We need to open a huge can of Texas whoopass on them. It’s time for tar and feathering, public whippings, firing squads, lynchings and other forms of defiance against this renegade group of cowardly saboteurs.

American militia groups generally believe in our country and would rather die than submit to the present tyranny being ratcheted tighter against us each and every day. They will not sit idle as our country is stripped to the bone by traitors. Many militia members are highly trained, smarter and more lethal as Guerrilla forces than the police and/or other agencies who would attempt to enforce unlawful orders and clear violations from our present club of communist neo-Marxists in Washington D.C.

The actual extremists, a word liberals love to bandy about in this country in attempts to dilute conservatives are radical Islamofascists awaiting orders from some cave in the Mideast and the traitors in Washington D.C. headed by an illegal immigrant, Kenyan, and liar named Barry Soetoro. The fact that he prefers to use his Muslim name over his Christian name proves he chose Islam over Christianity or some other religion. Yes, he claims to be a Christian, but he’s a liar. He’s a Muslim jihad sleeper and stinking up the white house, metaphorically speaking.

I say: Our sabers are at the ready. Bring it on, traitors!

First, Thomas L. Friedman is an expert on the Middle East. Unfortunately, however, he is only an expert on the Middle East as seen by the Washington DC establishment at any particular moment. This fact also requires him to jump around between contradictory positions.

His gimmick this week is, “The Real Palestinian Revolution.” Now one might call the way Hamas threw Fatah and the Palestinian Authority (PA) out of the Gaza Strip and turned that territory into a radical Islamist state is a real Palestinian revolution. Or one might say that a real Palestinian revolution would take place when Fatah, the PA, and Palestinian public opinion really changed toward accepting a two-state solution.

A Christopher Hitchens Flashback

The following is the last paragraph in a Slate article by Christopher Hitchens from July 30, 2007 entitled God-Fearing People: Why are we so scared of offending Muslims?.
