On 27 Sep 2012, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin (Bibi) Netanyahu addressed the General Assembly of the United Nations on Iran and Radical Islam. He laid out a clear danger of radicalized Islam and the regime of Iran to the world, raising Bernard Lewis’ comment that mutually assured destruction is not a deterrent for Iran, but an inducement.
Netanyahu asked for a red line before Iran completes Stage 2 of the uranium enrichment process and made the case to the world on a chart with a drawing of a bomb on it that we are all in danger if Iran succeeds.
Israel has been the victim of overt stalling by the Obama administration in addressing these issues. This leads one to believe that Obama is either inept when it comes to foreign policy or he secretly sides with Israel’s (and our) enemies. I think we all know which is the case.
To understand what the world would be like with a nuclear-armed Iran, just imagine the world with a nuclear-armed al-Qaeda.
