Do you remember before 9/11 when there was murkiness about the meaning of a terrorist?
After 9/11, the definition became more universally excepted. With time and other pressing issues, like Paris Hilton and the I-Phone, 9/11 faded away from the liberal controlled culture of America. It’s an inconvenient truth for liberals. Once again the terms meaning is moving toward being defined by whoever uses it.
My fear is that under an Obama regime, coupled with Democratic control of the Congress, this poor right-wing jazz musician will eventually be labeled a terrorist.
I could be paranoid, but I am preparing for it so it doesn’t shock me when/if it happens. It is possible in The People’s Republic of The United States they will come up with a new term with the same meaning since Obama has so many friends and allies that are referred to in this way by some. They might change the definition to mean a “freedom fighter” and proudly call themselves terrorists.
They might also put it this way:
We are terrorists for social justice…or something like that.
Or, that they retain the term “terrorist“ and use it instead on their political enemies:
Sarah Palin is one who terrorizes women by depriving them of state-sponsored abortion.
Bush is a terrorist for invading a sovereign country. (Unfortunately, the loony left has already beat this mantra into the ground).
Word-Drum is a good piano-player but he didn’t vote for Obama and posted articles and wrote diatribes against him. So, he’s a terrorist. Upon further investigation his Zionist origins are revealed. A trip to Israel when he was 8 years old. His mother working for Hadassah to build hospitals there.
He even wrote: “There are no Palestinians.”
Break his fingers so he will never play another lick. The People have spoken.
I could convert to Islam, then they might call me a militant or a radical. Of course these types of labels would sound a lot like run-of-the-mill Obamatons, or what they will call The New Patriots.
Words matter. Words don’t matter. Who the fuck knows!?
I plan to put up a fight before I’m thrown into prison. But if I have to languish in a cell, I’ll have some interesting fellow prisoners, like Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and others of the same conservative ilk. You might be there too, dear readers. In our time together, we could reminisce about the Good Old Days, be grateful to have lived through them and to have tasted freedom.
The final irony would come with the realization that the freedom which appeared so natural and everlasting to our generation was in actuality only a flicker in time…our time.
