The best thing Ms. Silk Pony could have done was to exhibit enough class to not react to Ann Coulter’s sarcasm.
This is especially true since she failed to get the joke in the first place. Instead, not only did she react poorly, she continues to do so. Now, she is the joke. I believe her next move is to take this matter to an appropriate arena…like The Jerry Springer Show.
Unfortunately, after witnessing Mr. Silk Pony giving speeches in the media; seeing their tasteless, sprawling, and ridiculous house on television; and after hearing Elizabeth’s anger-driven response to Coulter on HardBall; it’s obvious that money is still unable to purchase class.
The Silk Ponys are making fools of themselves before the entire country. Mr. Silk Pony has exactly the same chance at becoming president as he has at purchasing class — zero, zilch, keine, aught, nil ad infinitum.
What is it about rich folks, from the nouveax riche to the blue blooded, that leads them to believe they’re fit to be our leaders? The fact of the matter is that most are not. Most are so far out of touch with the common folks they haven’t a clue about how to serve them, or they’re just plain stupid. And as comedian Ron White says, “You can’t fix stupid.“
For example, just take a look at the Kerry, Kennedy, and Edwards families. Then look at the British Royal Family. See what I mean? At least the Royals have level-headed advisers some of the time (even if the gene pool does need a splash of chlorine). This is more than I can say for the former candidates.
If I were rich, the last thing I’d want to do is parade myself all over the media while running for a political position. Ye gads! I’d be living on a Caribbean island (which I owned), writing books, blogging, and drinking tropical alcoholic beverages. The Island would be patrolled by guards carrying sawed-off shotguns, and would have visible placards everywhere warning that Islamofascists would be shot on site and fed to the local marine life.
As for the Silk Ponys, keep watching for them to appear on The Jerry Springer Show. Who knows, maybe Ms. Pony will flash her tits! This would be class-ic.
Elizabeth Edwards Criticizes Ann Coulter Again
Elizabeth Edwards is continuing her war of words with Ann Coulter over what’s appropriate to say.
Edwards, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, is upset over comments by conservative author Coulter, who made a remark that Edwards interpreted as saying it would be fine with her if Edwards were to be “killed in a terrorist assassination plot.”
Coulter says it should be obvious to anyone who actually heard her comment that she was using sarcasm to make a point about humorist Bill Maher, who had said he wished Vice President Dick Cheney had been killed in a bomb attack. }} more…
